Growth from birth

Just interested in the growth rate of people's babies. How big where they born and how heavy where they at their milestones (3mt, 6th, 12th etc. Does a baby that is born big stay big or do they even out in the end and is it the same for smaller babies?

i never got DS regularly weighed

but at birth he was 4.155kgs
now at 16 months hes 9.7kgs

My 4.1 kg DD1 weighs about 9 kg at 12 months - and she eats more than her 4yo sister. So she dropped on the percentile charts for weight, but height and head circ have been steady.

3 girls 3 lots of weights.

DD1

birth wt - 3.59kg (7lb 14oz), L - 51cm, HC - 34.5cm

3 mths wt - 5.81kg, L - 58cm, HC - 38cm

6 mths wt - 7.3kg, L - 67cm, HC - 42cm

12 mths wt - 9.75kg, L - 74cm, HC - 45.5cm

18 mths wt - 11.6kg, L - 83.5cm, HC - 48cm

2 yrs wt - 14kg

she now almost 11 and weighs approx 48kg and is 148cm tall.


DD2

birth wt - 4.05kg (8lb 15oz), L - 51, HC - 35

3 mths wt - 6.45kg, L - 62cm, HC -39.5cm

6 mths wt - 7.45kg, L - 65cm, HC - 43cm

12 mths wt - 8.89kg, L - 73cm, HC - 45cm

18 mths wt - 11.28kg, L - 80cm, HC - 47.4cm

2 yrs wt - 12.88kg

2 1/2 yrs wt - 14.65kg, L - 96cm, HC - 49.2cm

She is now 6 1/2 and weighs approx 25kgs and is 122cm tall


DD3

birth wt - 2.31kg (5lbs), L - 48.5cm, HC - 33cm

3 mths wt - 5.55kg, L - 57cm, HC - 37cm

6 mths wt - 6.76kg, L - 65cm :)


As you can see DD2 was born bigger then DD1 but is alot smaller then her big sis now :yes:.
so I think just because they are born big or small doesn't mean they'll remain that way :).

My bub was 3.2kg at birth but then averaged 250g per week until he was six months old (and that was on breastmilk alone for 5 months!). He slowed down a bit after that and now at almost 13 months weighs 11kg.

I'm only a small person which is probably why he wasn't a very big bub but as soon as he was out his daddy's genes started to kick in and now he's quite big.

All bubs are different. Some are born small and stay small. Some are big and stay big. But all turn out just the way they were meant to :)

My bubs was 6lb 11oz or 3.05kg at birth and struggled to gain weight in the early months. We struggled with breastfeeding.

At three months he was 5.1kg.

At four months he was 5.6 kg.

At about I began supplementing with formula and he took off after that!

At 6 months he was 8.1kg.

He's now 8 months and I think I need to get him weighed again - hopefully he's steadied up a little!

My experience has been that the little ones do catch up over time.

My DD was 4.42kg at birth, about 3.8kg on release from hospital four days later. Didn't regain birth weight until 5-6 wks.

8m 6.86kg, hc 45, l 68 approx

Now nearly 9m - i think she weighs about 7-7.2kg approx.

So just because they are born big doesn't mean they stay that way. My DD has dropped from the top of the chart for weight to the lower end. Height has dropped from above avg to avg, and head has remained above avg.

DD2 ... birth - W 4.355kg (9lb 8oz) L 57cm HC 37.5cm - my perfect princess :angel: Missing you ...

DD1 and DS are now relatively tall for their ages but slightly underweight! You can't tell how they will grow from their birthweights!

Well DS weight over 8 times his birth weight ROFL

Birth weight (at 30 weeks gestation) 845g

Current weight at age 1 7.7kg! he is only little though

Birth weight (@33 weeks gestation): 1152 grams

3months:2.8kgs

6months: 4.5kgs

9mnths:7.4kgs

Now,(3 weeks off 1 year): 9kgs,probably a lil bit more than that.
