Hi Guys,
I'm 26 wks pregnant & was wondering if loud music affects the baby?
My hubby is in a rock band, and I went to see him last night at a gig. Their levels were ok, but there were some other bands that were really loud! The place was small, and the speakers were right there.
The thought suddenly popt into my head - maybe this could affect bub? So I went outside until hubby was on - they only played 1/2 hr, and even then I went to the back of the room.
We have decided I won't be going from now on just incase, but I was left a bit concerned, have I caused any damage?...anyone with any feedback knowledge would be great, thanx.

Hi leosmum- I really don't know- but I think that that, especially being one off- won't hurt bub, as it is nicely secluded in your tumm, and the sound waves get muffled. Plus trust me, my DD can sometime outscream any band-lol- and what about professional singers when they are pregnant- nothing happen to them and they sing all the time.

Hope you feel better soon-best of luck.

I went to a concert when pg with my DD and worried about it afterwards. I googled it up and read that because the baby is in amniotic fluid it is not too bad as sound waves travel poorly through fluids so the baby's ears are pretty well insulated.
