View Full Version : When to ditch the baby sleeping bag?
When should you ditch putting your baby in a baby sleeping bag (gro bag type thing)? DS likes to pull himself up and walk around the cot and I'm a bit worried he's going to trip if he's still in the sleeping bag. However, the bag restricts his movements a little and keeps him snug at night so I'd like to keep it for the time being if possible. Is there a 'rule of thumb' or guide for when you should ditch the sleeping bags?
My son still sleeps in them occasionally and he's 2!
He seems to be able to walk fine in them, maybe get a larger size???
I like the sleeping bags because if your bub moves around a lot, the blankies don't get tangled up and all over the place.
Sometimes DS has blankets and he wakes up with his socks off, sheets tangled and blankets at the end of the bed

I think with DS we ditched the bags when he went into a big bed. DD is still in her cot, but we'll probably do the same with her.
I love them because it means cheeky toddler can't climb out of the cot! ;)

Beccs check out the sleepsuits at best and less, they are like a bag but they have legs with grip soles and come in all sizes :)

I would but I doubt he would fit seeing as though he's already in size 2 clothing and only 10 months. :)
