Ok, i have a horrible tooth ache and i want to know what i can take to ease the pain. I know that i am allowed to take 2 panadols twice a day, but i need something else. Is it ok to use bonjela. I am 30 weeks pregnant.

I found this:

http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100002939.html

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, other medicines may be safely used in pregnancy or breastfeeding providing the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to the unborn baby. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, before using any medicine.

This medicine is not known to be harmful when used by pregnant women, providing the recommended dose is not exceeded, but it should be avoided towards the end of the pregnancy. Seek medical advice from your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine during pregnancy.

This medicine may pass into breast milk in very small amounts, but is unlikely to have any adverse effects on a nursing infant.

I would chat to a pharmacist and hope you find a good one LOL.

I had a bad tooth when pregnant (only just started getting it worked on) and one pharmacist gave me these fantastic pills. I was about 27 weeks? At 32 weeks I went for more, at a different chemist, the pharmacist said no and to take panadeine (NOT panadeine forte). Next pharmacist was like panadol only. Very frustrating!

Thanks so much for that Beth. How weird is it that we both have a tooth ache, althought mine is on the right hand side.

I am ringing a pharmacist now (currently on hold).

He said that its fine!!! I can use a teething gel!!
Ok off to paint my tooth with gel :D:yes:

We use Nyal toothache drops and they are great.
Works almost instantly, all you do is out some on a cotton bud and put it on the tooth that aches.
They don't taste the best but maybe check with the pharmacist if it is safe during pregnancy as it is worth giving them ago if you get the all clear.

I had a wisdom tooth coming trough when I was pregnant and I was told that bongella is a no no while pregnant. I think there might be natural things out the that might help but anything thing with clove oil in it is best avoided.
