So Lochie has red cheeks and a runny red nose is it teething or a cold??
He has got his front bottom two and i was thinking that maybe it was one of the top ones coming through...

Do bubs get runny noses when teething??

I also may think that his nose is red just from using it while trying to crawl  i shouldn't laugh but he looks so funny..

My son is 21mths and at this time has a runny nose. Today I looked in his mouth at the shops and saw more teeth. Wow he a has them all I said. He was only sick 6 wks ago. My son gets a cold every time he is teething. The teeth might not comes through but they are under the gum and will come through soon enough. I think he has been having signs of teething for about 4 mths the molars are the last and the most painful I am told cause each point comes through separately. Two weekends ago he was shocking (behaviour and whingeing galore). Now finally some reason for the whingeing. I give Dimetapp to stop the runny nose he is still running 100 miles an hour so it hasn't slowed him down.
My son's symptoms are nappy rash, smelly urine, runny nose, hands in the mouth, whingey (not for any good reason), everything annoys him (can't open a lid on a container)short temper.
I put a bib on him constantly and keep his chest dry and at nights put vicks on him after his bath he seems to sleep better.
Any qu.s PM me.
My son teethes at 3 mths and got his first teeth (came through) at 5 mths.

I wouldn't know how my DD goes as we have none yet! Nealry 8 months, they can't be far away!

My niece though gets a runny nose and chesty cough with every tooth as does another bub in my Mums group.

Sounds like that's what it could be!

hmm i think i'm going to put it down to teething, with the first two we only got a little cranky behaviour before so this is a little different. I think i'll give him a couple more days and see how he goes.

I find it interesting though how every bub is different with there teething symptoms.

Justcooked i wouldnt worry my health nurse was saying the other day she had a bub in 19mths and not one single tooth!!!

My DD always have a little fewer, red cheeks or chin, and cold like symptoms whenever she is about to have a new tooth. It sounds like Lochie is teething to me. I give my DD Panadol, it helps a lot. Especially just before she goes to bed. She sleeps better.
