I'm a 35yo SAHM of one beautiful DS who is 2. After a long 11 months and 2 sad losses, we're finally expecting our 2nd who is due in early December!:D 1st ultrasound is next week and I can't wait to see the heartbeat and know everything is fine.

I would really love an on-line buddy group of some local 30+ mums as the whole mothers group thing didn't really work out for me - there were only 4 of us and they all went back to work or back o/s. I resigned after 12 months mat. leave and am loving it.

I've been on Fertility Friend for the last year and it's been great, but I realised I'm never going to make real friends that way as it's a US site, so here I am.

We go to playgroup and have play dates here or there, but I'm wondering if there are other mums out there in the same boat as me.
Anyway, love to hear from any local mums out there! If you have a busy 2 yo like me, we've probably got a lot to talk about!

Hi DoulaRobyn. Thanks for replying. It was getting lonely here!

I have posted on one of the 'loss' boards as I had an early u/s yesterday but no heartbeat. I'm very low and waiting to see the results of yesterday's and tomorrow's betas.

I'm thinking of asking my ob for another high resolution scan before the D&C. He wants to perform it on Wed. afternoon but it feels too quick and I have read the heartbeat can first be visible upto 9 weeks.

Say a prayer for us.

Hi love2bmum,

I'm 31 and from Cronulla.

:hugs:

It must be so hard waiting for the results.

The u/s was pretty early though wasn't it?

Hi Jelly Baby. Thanks for your support. Yes, the u/s was at 7 weeks exactly, but measured 6 wks and 3 days. BUT, I know that I O'd on cycle day 18 and implanted late, so OB thought it could be too early, but he's doing the beta's to be sure.

I'm hoping for a rise in hCG between yesterday and tomorrow. It's just that I've had 2 m/c's in December and Feb, so it's not making me feel too positive. Fingers X'd.

love2bmum - so sorry to hear that you are having a hard time of it. I have had one mc and I know the waiting game can be so hard. It is also hard for me to find the 'right things' to say at a time like this so please do not see my brevity as me being uncaring! I shall keep my fingers crossed for you and will say a prayer for you and your fam tonight. In the meantime try to keep positive, if it is meant to be, it shall be.

Jelly Belly - I used to live in Cronulla, its my favourite place to live actually, but now live in Miranda, still not too far from you. :)

I too had a m/c in March and now that my AF have finally returned I'm in the process of TTC #2.

I'll be thinking of you with everything crossed.

Hi Jelly Belly and DoulaRobyn. Well, got some news today. Monday's hCGs were ok at 26,500, but this mornings were lower at 22,900. Dr called tonight and said he didn't feel he had enough information to be sure yet, so another test on Friday and u/s in his office on Monday and if still no heartbeat, a d&c next Wednesday.

I'm feeling broken and scared of what the future holds, I don't want to go through this again, but I don't want to give up either.

Thank goodness I can come on here to talk. I just feel like completely withdrawing from everyone, but life doesn't let you do that.

I grew up at Dolans Bay and love the Sutherland Shire. Engadine does us for now, it's a good family area. Would love to live at the beach though.

Thanks for checking in with me, it helps.

Good luck for the test on Friday and the u/s on Monday.

I wish there was something else I could say to make it all better. :hugs:

I know how hard it is though....you wanna give it all up cause it hurts so much but it hurts just as much not trying again.

We love the Shire too. I don't think I could live anywhere else in Sydney - I'd have to leave the state. Although living at the beach isn't that nice in this weather. Brrrrrrrr

I have been there with the hcg level blood tests twice.... first time it was the baby leaving my body... second time though, they had it wrong, and Charlotte is now 4!!! So just trust yourself, trust your intuition and know that if it is meant to be it will be. Don't doubt your strength and don't forget your quest for happiness from within.

I also love the Shire.... have lived here all my life... lived in Cronulla first, Gymea, Sylvania, Caringbah, Engadine, Caringbah, Sylvania, Wooloware, Cronulla and now finally at Miranda!!!! Wow I didn't realise I had moved so much! But I am the same, I reckon I would have to move states, than live anywhere else in Sydney!

Hi Jelly Baby. No results from this morning yet. I'm not holding out any hope though. I'm seeing the Ob on Monday morning to take another look and I expect he'll give me the numbers then too.

I called a specialist at St George Private to make an appointment for a few weeks time. My Ob will refer me to him after the d&c and I want to have all the tests. I'm not giving up and just need to have a plan.

Was nice at Cronulla today - went to Shelly Park.

Thanks for checking in with me.

Hi DoulaRobyn and Jelly Baby. Sorry have been MIA. Kept forgetting to check this forum as it didn't generate much interest before. The 2 of you excepted of course!

I'm just ticking along waiting for AF to return. When she does, I have a cycle worth of tests under my new RE. Then it's waiting for those results and for him to return from holidays before we can know what approach we'll take.

In the meantime, I'm exercising and getting as fit as I can and enjoying the break from TTC.

Hope you are bothing doing great too.:)

Hey love2b :) good to 'see' you! I don't know what all of your abbreviations means (is af aunt flow?) but I am also trying to get fit and healthy so if you want to go walking with me - especially at night because that is when I feel right to exercise - I would love a walking partner! I have been making the excuse that I can't go walking if it gets too late because its unsafe for a woman to walk by herself *clears throat* yes, it is only 7pm when this excuse comes up!

I have lost 2kgs in the last two weeks - bring on the healthy me.... oh and the healthy you!
