Hello everyone,
The Childhood Allergy and Immunology Research (CAIR) group in Western Australia, are desperately seeking pregnant mums and their newborns to take part in an exciting new study! We are investigating the effects of Omega-3 (Fish Oil) supplementation for the first 6 months of a baby's life, on preventing allergy development and severity. We are specifically looking for pregnant women (at any gestation) who have suffered from allergies, or hayfever, eczema, or asthma, or whom already has a child suffering from allergies. The supplements are 100% safe for your newborn, and do not interfere with your choice to breastfeed, or formula feed. Benefits of the study include a free allergy test for your baby at 12 months old to common allergens such as peanut, egg, cows milk and house dust mite, as well as a consultation with the pediatric immunologist Dr Susan Prescott.
If you are keen to participate or would like to have more information, please contact the CAIR team on (08) 9340 8834 or alternatively, email cair@ichr.uwa.edu.au
This study is funded solely by grants received from the National Health & Medical Research Council, and is run in affiliation with The Telethon Institute of Child Health Research.
Thank you :smiliedance:
