Elective Caesar and 2nd baby weight.

This is probably a silly question... but you know how (generally, but not always) second babies tend to bigger than firstborn... do you think that applies with caesar bubs if they're born a couple of weeks early.

My first DS was born by emergency caesar at 37weeks +6 days and weighed 6lbs, 5 ozs (I was induced early because of cholestasis but he went into distress, hence the caesar).

I'm now pregnant again and will be having an elective caesar at 37 weeks + 4 days (so technically 2 days earlier).

Do you think it's likely that my second bub will be bigger??

Can anyone who may have had consecutive caesars shed any light on this??

I had ceaser 1 when i was 38week and 5 days bub was 7lb 10 51.5cm


I had ceaser 2 when i was 38weeks and 3 days and bub was 8lb 10 49cm

So yep my bub was bigger in weight:yes:

first bub 8pd 13 .. second bub 8pd 2 ..

but he was delivered a week early .. and probably would have put on more weight in that last week .. where as DS1 was emergency c-section the day before his due date ..
