I am about to see my FS next week about why we are unable to sustain a pregnancy.
We have had 3 miscarriages now, 2 of them being early m/c within 5-6 weeks.
I have had an u/s today and a BT so ill see what they say next week when I see the FS.
We obviously have no problem getting pregnant, its just holding on to it that is the problem.
15 months ago I have had a sucsessful twin pregnancy.
Has anyone else had FS support for losing pregnancies?

Hello,
The same thing is happening to me after three children.
I had a 11 week m/c last july. pregnant again in DEC m/c very early. I just had a m/c this April and I seem to have been pregnant this month in May but I am now spotting and home pregnancy test is now showing up very very faint.
I will be doing some blood tests. I went to my first vist to FS last month.

Hiya
I read a really interesting book written by an American doctor - Dr Beer called "Is your body baby friendly" and its all about immune response issues when you are pregnant - VERY informative, I borrowed from the local library so maybe your local library might have a copy. He has had success using immune suppression techniques on women who have had the heartbreak of suffering multiple miscarriages.
I hope that helps and good luck!

HI, I had problems hanging onto pregnancies. I'd often get a positive test and then about 5 or 5.5 weeks in I'd bleed.
In my Bloods turned out my Antinuclear Antibodies were high. Basically my body was seeing fetus as an invader and attacking it.
The antibodies do vary and sometimes can be at a normal level and then might go high.
You might have a problem like this? But the bloods should show that.
Good to get it investigated. I was just lucky to come across a sympathetic OB who tested me and didn't just say "oh, it was natures way..."
I sustained a healthy pregnancy on blood thinners. Pretty simple really.
Good luck!!
Hi there,
I have had the same thing happen to me.
I have a son who is 3.5yrs and since then have had 3 m/c in a row:
May 09 = 7 weeks
Jan 10 = 10 weeks
Aug 10 = 8.5weeks
I have been told that I probably have elevated natural killer cells. These cells are simply seeing a growth in the uterus and attacking it in an attempt to rid the body of foreign abnormalities. I have an appointment on the 15th September with Dr Gavin Sacks who is the leading (only i think) specialist in this field. He has had pleasing success in providing meds that suppress the immune system, which could be attacking a viable healthy PG, resulting in lots of pregnancies... A simple BT can determine if you have this cells.
Will update my progress... hope this helps
Bibi
