Hi all,
My DS is 7 months old and is currently having 4 bottles and 3 solid meals a day. My concerns at the moment are he is not having much breakfast ( sometimes only 5 teaspoons ) because he fills up on his morning bottle. At the moment the routine is:

6.30am = bottle..has about between 150 - 200mls
7.30am = bfast
9.30am = bottle....has 120 - 200mls depending how much bfast he has had
12.00pm = lunch
2.00pm = bottle....has 150 - 200mls
5.00pm = dinner
7.00pm = bottle.....has 150- 200mls

sleeps through the night no worries.

i have been thinking whether i should skip the 6.30am bottle and do bfast first at 7.00am then do the bottle aroud 9ish.when bubs wakes he never cries for hunger so waitng a little for bfast will be okay i think ( but who knows i guess ).

do you think at 7months this is a good idea?

any advice or feedback would be appreciated

thanks

Im not really sure. Maybe you should try breakfast before the bottle? I breastfeed my daughter after she has eaten so she is nice and full and ready to sleep again :D

Hi,
Milk is the more important thing up untill 12months, I would keep giving the milk before food until then.

Hi there... I just had the same conversation with my paediatrician...
Give your little one breakfast and then the bottle... He will let you know how much is enough...
Yes milk is important however he is still getting enough throughout the day... If he is gaining weight and doing all of the right things then fantastic!!!
Your routine sounds terrific!!! Great job!!!
Hope mine works out like that...
