I need a 2nd opinion before my period comes! My first ovulation score on clomid was 63 and my 2nd score was 30.5 Both times I was only taking one clomid tablet for five days.
My gyno now wants me to take two clomid tablets on my next cycle. As far as I can see its a 50/50 punt because my first result was so good and my 2nd result wasn't that great. My 2nd reading I had to get done on day 20 as 21 fell on sunday.
I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and what levels of clomid they took? I don't want to 2nd guess my gyno but his recordkeeping and communication have shown to be very poor and I wonder if he realises my first level was so high. He is very frustrating and it unnerves me :banghead:
I don't want to end up with overstimulation of the ovaries.
From what I have learnt in my experience of taking Clomid is that both your levels are pretty good the three time i took clomid my levels were all under 30 and my gyno still said i ovulated. If you are seeing positive levels on just one tablet why is he putting you up to two??? Obviously he is more experienced and has more knowladge then I do but if your feeling uneasy or need some questions answered just ask him.
Sorry i wasnt much help
Goodluck

Thankyou Krystal! You were helpful :) are you still using clomid? I ask because your last cycle seems to be in February according to the fertility link.
I finally got in touch with my doctor a few days later and he knew that my first result was really good but says that I can get intolerant to the drugs. How after only one course I am dubious, but well he is the expert!
He is focussed on getting me pregnant and said why not increase the chances.
Guess I can't argue with that. Apparently taking four tablets a day is the maximum dose and I took two tablets a day this time.
As far as he's concerned, I had good results but I'm not pregnant so he wants to increase the dose until I get pregnant. It seems hes in more of a hurry than I am!
I've since had the five days on the double dose and am very curious to see what my day 21 blood test comes back as in two weeks.
I dont have any experiance with Clomid but wanted to add that if you are not completely happy with your current gyno then find another one... this is too important to trust with someone you dont have confidence in.. Remember you have the right to change and find someone you fel comfortable with.
Good luck though! :fingerscrossed:
Lizzy ive been off clomid for about three months maybe even longer now and I will be starting another round as soon as af turns up keep in touch and let me know how you go

well I just did my clomid and BDing - which I'm cranky with because I got a bladder infection at the same time! Talk about bad timing.
But I think I ovulated earlier than usual so I hope I caught it.
I'll be due for AF on mothers day! That would be a nice suprise if I don't get AF then.
