Hi everyone,

This afternoon I am having my first doctors appointment to discuss my fertility.
I know that I am ovulating every month but my luteal stage (days from ovulation to AF) is not long enough to allow implantation to take place.:crying:

I've never had an appointment for this sort of thing before as I conceived my first to children without any difficulty.

So... my question is for all the ladies that have had doctors appointments to discuss fertility before.

What information do I need to take with me? What questions do I need to ask?

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks:D

xx Denise

Hi Denise,

For my first appointment with my gyno I was just asked some very detailed health questions and general lifestyle questions and so was DP Just be shure to ask about all of there treatment options and I also asked about there success rates.

If you are just going to see your GP they dont ask too many questions at all well they didnt for me just how long you have been trying how regular you are and then they should give you a refferal to a specialist and if they dont offer one just ask for it.

Sorry im not much help

Good luck and I hope you get the answers that you are looking for.

Krystal

:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: hi there
I would be interested to hear how you get on. I too am trying for baby no.2 with little success. My doctor has ordered blood tests to check my hormone levels and whether I am actually ovualting, i haven't had these yet so I guess we will have to wait and see what the outcome will be. Good luck michelle

Hi Michelle, my doctor just ordered blood tests too. I haven't gone for them yet. I probably will wait till after easter to go do them now.

How long have you been trying for? It's frustrating aye? Well hopefully the tests will give us a clue:detective:

Have you been charting your cycles?

All the best. (join us in the TTC april thread if you want someone to chat with and support:thumbsup: )
