View Full Version : Pass the parcel help - put your thinking caps on!
It's Sunday and my brain just doesn't function properly on Sundays!
I need to compile a list of questions for a baby shower pass the parcel game.
Instead of just passing the parcel around the circle, each layer will contain a question which will direct where it goes next.
This is what I have so far:
Who has had the longest labour?
Who has had the shortest labour?
Who has the grossest poo story?
Who delivered the biggest baby?
Who has most recently had a baby?
Who has the most children?
Who is the youngest mum?
Can anyone else suggest some more?
I'll post a completed list here for anyone else who'd like to give it a go. I've played this at another shower and it was hilarious hearing disaster poo stories and fast labours (at home, in cars, on the side of the road!)
Can wait to see what other people come up with!
What a great idea!
who had the longest pregnancy (as in gestation)
who had the shortest pregnancy
who had the longest baby (length - but this could get tricky if the 2 biggest are the same!)
ok, yep thats me for a sunday  no doubt i will think of more later
Who screamed "I can't do this any more" the most amount of times!
Who was the best screamer in labour?
Who was the quietest in labour?
Who cut bub's cord?
Who almost fell off the ed when they heard it was either a girl/boy from shock?
Who was told bubs was one sex and come out the other?
I'm sure I'll think of more...
Ooo! Girls these are great!
Lol! I especially like the one "Who was told bubs was one sex and come out the other?"
That could be an interesting story!
This game is great to play especially in a group where not everyone knows everyone - encourages some good story telling!
Fun game Anna! Where do you come up with the time to do all these things?
Who delivered on the EDD?
Who had the hairiest baby?
Who had the most drugs?
Who had the bestest looking doctor!
Who had the most people in the delivery suite?
Lou they're GREAT! Thank you so much!
I especially love the one about the bestest looking Dr and the one about the most number of people in the delivery suite! What a crack up!
As for time - bah, you gotta make time!
The girl who I'm hosting the shower for is a really good friend of mine (actually, dated DH for a couple of months like FOREVER ago ) and I've known her since I was in primary school - so thoroughly deserves a great baby shower!
Do you remember the girl I mentioned in our Oct thread that fell pregnant accidentally and was devistated? She and her DH were going to adopt instead? Well they're having a girl and I'm pleased to say that she's really come around a LOT lately and starting to get excited about things which is such a relief!
Anyway, enough :ecomcity:
Sounds like fun :)
1. Who delivered their baby in an unexpected place? (in the car on the way, in the shower, etc )
2. Who took the longest time to officially name their baby? (we nearly went home with just our bubs surname on the tag cause we couldn't decide!)
3. Who injured someone other than themselves during labour? (i accidentally kicked a nurse during a contraction!)
4. Who apologised afterwards to family or hospital staff for their 'colourful language' during labour?
5. Who took home the most amount of flowers and gifts after birth?
6. Who was accidentally given a baby present for the wrong gender? (yes this happened to us!)
This game sounds great im doin my sister a baby shower the 31st looking for ideas.
How do you play they game??
As someone who is desperately trying for children, who came across this thread after Googling baby shower game ideas for a friend; I would definitely suggest using some questions that have nothing to do with your own children.
It's bad enough for some of us to be at a baby shower at all, without having to go through such a humiliating and alienating experience like this, where you don't even stand a chance at being able to answer any of the questions, much less win the prize!!!
Just my 2c - I dare say there would be at least one guest at every baby shower who's never had a child.
Maybe some questions about when the guests were babies - "Who was the biggest baby" or "Who had the youngest mum"?
