hi i have a 6 1/2 month dd she had swollen gums during the week now i can feel the top of a tooth at the bottom. she has not been grizzly or upset and hasn't been drooling. is the worst over or still to come?
I thought the tooth breaking through was suppose to be bad. I am hoping the rest of the tooth will pop up with no fuss.
just wondering how long it will take to come up now i can feel it. my husband is away with work for the next week, so I was just wanting any ideas as to what i may be up for?
I hope this makes sense.....:ecomcity:

Well, if it has broken through with no dramas then be thankful . Their teeth take a few weeks to come up fully, it's quite slow, so it's not like you'll see a whole tooth there next week IYKWIM.
We didn't have too many problems with DS's front teeth, but I've notice some grizzly days now that his molars are popping through, I think they hurt them more (well, I'm guessing....I could be wrong).

I notice that DS gets a bit of a red bum too when he's teething.

I found with DS 6 months his first bottom left broke thru no problems just loads of dribble then the 2nd bottem tooth came thru nearly straight away and he was a bit more upset but was worse when they where halfway out IYKWIM so not when they just broke thru the skin but when they where coming out further. He was sleeping badly and clingy grumpy and cryed when he knocked or bit on them. This also could havebeen the 6months growth spurt....

yup what everyone else has said. the bottom two i didnt even know he was getting, my dad told me when we went n visited a few weekends ago that both jack's bottom teeth were through!!
his top two however.......were giving him the right $hit$! he was sitting in his swing outside, biting on the cross bar like he always does, i look up from reading the paper and saw blood EVERYWHERE, all over his face and all over the swing. so i panicked and rinsed it out. i thought his bottom two had cut through his tongue or something. but no. his top teeth were obviously that bad, (but not quite ready to come through yet) he'd bitten down hard on the crossbar and put two massive holes in his top gums. i could see his teeth through the holes, but they weren't 'down' enough yet. in any case as soon as that happened he was a happy boy again. and now his teeth are down properly. so he got those 4 within the space of a week of each other. there must be more on the way cuz his bum's all red again and he's being a right pain in my backside hahaha.
all babies are different though will keep my :fingerscrossed: for you that your bub won't suffer :)
