Julian is FANTASTIC!!!

hes been brayds pead since he was 5.5months old... i chose him cos he also works at the redlands hosp, so if we had an emergancy situation we could rush him to redlands and know he would be the pead that got called in :D

hi,
Jullian was the attending pead at my emergency c/s with my DD almost 2 years ago at the mater private. when i had my DS 6 months ago i request to have him again. he is fantastic. very thorough and straight to the point. he is a credit to any hospital.

i have also seen julian he has now cut back to 1 day a week at redlands public but is at redlands mater private 1 day a week and he also is at the mater private hospital in at south brisbane he also has a room at capalaba. He is hard to get into you have to fight his blimmin receptionist but he is a lovely straight forward doctor.

Where abouts are you as redlands hospital head pead DR Scott Burgess is fantastic and he is there 5 days a week (QTB-- i found scott better than julian and he has a wonderful repore with my lot) Scott used to be in a partnership with Julian a couple of yrs ago but decided to return to public when offered the role at redlands......

DD had Julian as her ped via the Wesley (which he no longer does)...when in hospital I found him a bit odd, but he was better at the following 2 appointments....his receptionist on the other hand was an absolute cow to us  Ob mentioned last week that we'd have to look at a new ped for no 2 as he's no longer at the Wes, and not sure I'm upset about that....

Dr Mellick is absolutely great!! He was DD's paed from when she was born in the Mater Private Redlands. It's very hard to get an appointment at Capalaba and also his room at the Mater Private Redlands, we had most of our appointments in the city. Couldn't recommend him enough!!

Hello - Im new to this site, so hello to all.

I am actually looking for a new Paed as we used to have Julian, but now he does no southside visits, and dont really want to travel to south brisbane each time.

I have to agree with his receptionis being a cow tho, Each time we have had to wait for the next three month visit and week before, she calls to confirm on a day that it was not booked and now that i am back to work, cannot just change my work days and we have to wait another few weeks:(. not impressed. if anyone knows a good paed locally, please let me know

Thanks

 Welcome to bubhub... as above im a big Julian fan - hes been sooo sooo wonderful with my DS1s epilepsy that i still go thru to mater to see him, but as hes no longer at the redlands my DS2 had to see Scott Burgess and hes really lovely! (i think i like him better than Julian!!) he explains everything in human talk, not dr talk which i like!

Just incase anyone is looking up Dr Mellick now in 2011 :-)
I find him to be thorough and yes straight to the point and he does explain things in Layman's terms.
As for his secretary, she does sound scary but isn't. She does sound & looks rude but isn't.
Kind regards
