Hi
I thought I might be able to give you a bit of an idea
Although I did my degree 3 years ago and in nsw so costs may be a bit different.
Took 3 years (but I took 4 as I went part time)
my HECS bill cost about $11,000 at the end. I dont have to pay anyof this if I dont earn over $32,000 per year.
Union fees are about $150-$200 per term depends on where you study.
Books are the biggest killer at $100-$300 per book:mad: . BUT you can borrow from the libary (just dont be late returning as the late fees are killers!) or look on web for research material.
I hope this has helped a bit. I have enjoyed it, can be stressful with a family at times with doing prac and rasing families, but if its your dream GO FOR IT!

It took at least 3 days during the week when I was full time, then after bed time I would do assignments and stuff. When I was part time It was only about 1-2 days, but I felt like I was getting no where. I was going to take 6 years to finish! Thats when I decided to go full time. Unfortuanlty if you decided to do it, your son will miss out in some respect, but you have to weigh it up. With the extra money rolling in he will gain in the long term. And you will be a better person because you are doing someting you love!
If you have a good support network, go for it! It will get hard, especially in 2nd year.
Good luck , I hope your happy in whatever you choose:fingerscrossed:
