I fell over backwards in a big puddle of dettol at the shops yesterday & now I can't help but worry that something may be or go wrong :(

I saw my obs about hr & half after who monitored baby heart rate & it is all good & plenty of movement but I still can't relax like before & feel like everything is ok.

Is it possible that the baby did it's first poo & is floating around in mecomium? Would that be a problem or only when it's born & tried to breathe?

Is there anything else I should be worried about?

I'm so upset that someone didn't report the spill to the store, how irresponsible are people these days :banghead:

I can't answer you about your mecconium concern, but I can tell you I know quite a few women that had a fall during pregnancy (including myself) and all was fine, so if you have been checked out by an obs and he says bubs is fine, then I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I slipped over - forwards - 3 days before I had my son, and he was fine.

I understand your concern though. :hugs:

i'm sure everything will be fine

but if you start bleeding or if you can't feel bubs or bub isn't moving as much as normal then contact your OB just to be on the safe side

:hugs:, i hope you let the store know EXACTLY what happened, that is not something that should of happened.

i also had a fall while pregnant with DD2 but i was only about 14 weeks so she had a lot to cushion her.

if your worried (and i would be too) maybe ask your OB if he can monitor you over the next few days.

I fell in a hole and sprained my ankle the day before DD2 was due. I was quite worried in case something had happened but I monitored the movements and she was fine - but still ended up being late.

Your baby is still nicely cushioned so I'm sure all is well.:hugs:

I would be contacting the store and lodging a complaint anyway for two reasons:

This should never happen again :shame: and

Like I said earlier, I am sure everything is fine, but if something was to go wrong, and should you want to take action against the store, you would be better of to have lodged a complaint straight away (I used to complete public liability claims for a company I used to work for ).

I'm sure everything is fine though ;)
