Hi everyone,

Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was regularly posting on the boards....UNTIL... I had a car accident where I was left with several broken bones, bruises and various other complaints !!!

Anyway, I am finally feeling a bit better - but still a way to go to full recovery (but all going to plan in another 4-6 weeks everything should be back to normal.

I am due to begin injections tomorrow for Flare cycle of IVF. I figure it is a good time to do it, as obviously I am off work and can really rest and relax and take care of myself during pick up, transfer etc. BUT, I need some advice....have left messages at my clinic, but no-one available to ring me back until tomorrow arvo (they are all on some new ultrasound training course !!!!!!!). I am meant to start injections in the "am".

I am taking Endone pain relief for my inuries at the moment - slowly cutting them back a bit and not needing as many. I'm not sure if it is ok to continue taking these while injecting and going through IVF....Does anyone have any experience with medication and ivf ?

ALSO, I have a complicated break in one of my wrists and hopefully it will continue to mend on it's own, but there is a chance that it will need surgery down the track - Could be in a week, a month or six months !!

What do you think I should do? I have been waiting for soOooooo long for this cycle and after 10 failed goes, I just will go insane if i wait any longer - BUT, I also don't want to do anything that will minimise my chances!

Any advice would be FANTASTIC.
I will get busy catching up on everyones news on the threads now that I am back in cyber land and allowed to use the computer !!

Hope everyone is well and I hope to catch up soon,:hugs:

Sally-Anne - what an ordeal you have had, I so sorry to hear you were in a car accident. You will need to check with your FS to check there is no conflicting issues with the medication you are currently on. In Adelaide, we can ring the Womens and Childrens Hospital if we can't get a hold of our FC, there must be another place you can call for advice, wish I could be of more help.

I have to say I love your determination, you are truely inspirational!

Hi desper8forbub,

You poor darling:hugs:, wow you sound like you have been on a real roller coaster ride.. I know what a car accident can be like..and how you have to take it so easy...and how the pain from these injuries can take time to heal and then the pain killers needed to help can cause more problems.

:iagree: with nevergivenup here in Adelaide we can ring the women's and childrens hospital for advice on medications.
I would check with FS so you can where to go from here. I wish you all the very best and i really hope your dream comes true :babydust2:.

I know that endone is like morphine and is a really strong drug for really strong pain!! I know when I was on it for my car accident once my pain began to settle down I used to have 1 endone and 1 panadol so I could ease of it.
But once again I am no doctor so this is not medical advice.

Also just a thought in my car accident I damaged my back..whiplash.. I still get some back pain from this. I have never done this.. I feel I am a sales rep  for the people who make this....... BUT.......

Have you ever tried using FLEXALL 454 it is a vitamin E enriched pain relieving gel.. it is in an aloe vera base. It has a menthol content. I was on such strong pain relief ..and at times nothing was touching the sides. My physio tried some of this gel and it was awesome.. I swear by this stuff. I was taking such high pain relief that once I tried this.. I found that this helped so much more than drugs.
I know your injuries are different to mine were but this may help.
I talked to womens and childrens about using this through IVF and pregnancy..and they said that they have a lot of women using it. You can use small amounts at a time.
It is not the same as a lot of the other topical pain releief I have ever used. You could check with your FS and clinic and see if they have heard of it.

You can get this at chemists and most physio's would have heard of it. It should cost no more that $26 for small bottle or $40 for huge bottle. If you are a member at national pharmarcies you can save 20% off the price thats where i get mine from.. I have so many people using this stuff.. as they saw how bad I was..and how much better I am when I use it.

I will be thinking of you HUN and sending you loads of love and healing light:angel:, take care of yourself..:sunshine:

all the best.. we are here for you xx

Loads of love serenity xx
