Where could I source a PUL machine (if that is even what it is called :p) I want to start laminating my own fabrics - it will be a much more sensible idea cos I don't usually like the fabric out there, so I can PUL my own.
I know I can send it away to get it done but to be honest thats a pain in the butt :D Would rather look at doing it myself. More fun too!

Are you talking about making your own fabrics or printing your own fabrics?

I want to make my own PUL for nappies - so am trying to fond where to source the machinary to do it etc. Specifically a fabric laminator to adhere a thin film of laminate to the back of material.

Ok I understand what you mean now. I always just used normal cloth nappies and pilchars so all these new things as far as cloth nappies go is strange to me lol. As far as the machine goes I've no idea. When I was working in the textiles industry they had what was known as a laminator but it was used to joing 2 pieces of PVC and such. I'll see if I can find out a bit more for you.

Thatd be awesome if you could - I am pretty sure you can only get them on a commercial scale but can't seem to source out where exactly.

I can't seem to find anything on how to make the PUL yourself. Only how to make the nappies and various other things once you have it. I'm going to keep doing some research cos you've got me interested now.
I'll let you know soon!
I have no idea...
I've been looking for one too.
I think they generally only have industrious ones.
I think Wild Child laminates fabric with PUL...
maybe you could email them and ask...
Or another 'fabric laminating' place.

Yeah I was thinking of asking - just don't want them to think i am trying to cut into anyone's business by doing it myself - I want it more for me then anything.
I think you'll find that the laminating machines are many thousands of dollars each, they are designed for mass produced products, not just for a few metres at home. And then you'd have your laminating film on top of the machines, and from what I understand they come in rolls of 100's of metres.

Yeah I know how much they are normally etc, that's not really the issue - it's finding a supplier for costing I am having trouble with.
