Hi ladies!

I have recently completed my doula training and need 1 more birth to complete my final three to be fully qualified.

I attended a birth 6 weeks ago that was absolutely fantastic and the mother and father and midwife couldn't praise my services highly enough. The end result was an induction, 2.5 hour labour, half strength gas and no stitches or bruising and easy attachment which is a great contrast from this ladies first birth 1.5 years ago that resulted in a long induction, epi, gas, pethadine, stitches and bf issues.

I have another birth to attend in May so am going through the prenatal care with my client now. Her and her husband are also is looking forward to having my assistance.

I am also studying the Childbirth Educator Diploma and swedish and pregnancy massage.

My philosophy with regards to birth is that it is individual and incredibly special. You deserve to have the birth as you want it so my aim is to help you achieve your goal what ever that may be.

If you would be interested in using me for your birth, it would be free of charge and I would be extremely grateful for the opportunity. I live in the Sydney Hills District but am willing to go where ever needed within reason.

Thanks for considering me,
Anna

Good luck Anna.

I already have my trainee doula lined up but I just wanted to highly recommend this to any of the ladies on here who are thinking about it.

My doula is LOVELY. She listens to all my ravings on and is actually interested in every little thing about the pregnancy and about the hopes and dreams I have for my precious little boy.

So ladies, take up this offer if you can, its worth it.

Me me me. Pick me!!!! :D

I would be more than happy to have you as my doula but I don't really know what that entails or what the requirements are with regards to hospital permission, appointments etc. I am due 19th August with my 5th child, and will be delivering at Canterbury Hospital. If you are interested please feel free to PM me!!!

Regards

Hi

I'm due to live in the Hills District towards the end of this month (currently living in Scotland) and as of yet have absolutely nothing in place (no doc, midwife, hosp etc). I'd love a bit of help putting my plan all together - I would have preferred a home birth (for baby #4) but as of yet don't know where I'll be living (in so far as home or rental property) :fingerscrossed: so don't know whether it is possible. I've had 3 Normal Vaginal Deliveries so far - promise not to be any trouble!! but I'm feeling really nervous about the whole thing at the mo.

I'm due 24 July.

Me: 39 (shhhh)
DH: 42

DD: 18
DD: 16
DS: 5

Thank you all so much for your interest in my services. I really appreciate it. I hope I can be of service to some of you in the near future.:hugs:

A couple of people asked what the advantages of having a doula can be. Here are some stats that I believe are published by the WHO.

50% reduction in caesarian rate
20% shorter labour
60% reduction in the need for epidurals
40% reduction in forceps delivery
40% reduction in oxytocin use
30% reduction in analgesia use
Better success & satisfaction breastfeeding
Reduced risk of PND
Better bonding for you with baby and partner

Thanks again.

Anna, when you write a post in a thread you started you'll see an Additional Options box down below that says "close this thread after you submit your message".

I'll do this one for you though :) Good luck with the rest of your studying and training.
