View Full Version : Bonds Easysuit? More like Hardsuit!
Is it just me, or has anyone else had trouble with these suits?
DD was in tears this morning as I tried to get the silly thing off her! I just can't work out how they go on and off.
MAybe i'm just stupid, but this outfit needs instructions!

I'm so glad you've started this tread!
I was wondering wether to buy any for new bubs, but also thought they looked harder.
I think I'll pass on them now. Thanks girls!

i find them really easy, they take me less time to put on then a suit with all the snap things.
i have heard heaps of people having trouble with them though, maybe i should offer to buy all the ones from people who hate them and get some good bargains

I got a couple of pairs when Jacob was born and on an inanimate object like a newborn they were fine. Wouldn't try and tackle a 1 year old with it though.
I suppose it's the fact that you have to pull bubs legs so far back, right up to their chin, to pull the dam thing up over their bottom. Not EASY in my opinion!
As I said, DD was screaming this morning as I tried to get it off her. I stretched the outfit so badly trying to get it off, that it sags at the back now.
I would much prefer buttons.. even though they do take a little longer.

I found if you buy one a few sizes larger they are a little easier - still not as easy as snaps though! You almost need a fold in half baby to get them on!

There is a trick to putting them on.
This is how I do it and it is simple:
Put the top half on and pull the back down
To put the legs in, if its the long leg one, I gather up the leg in my hand so i can shove his foot straight in it.
I bend his leg so his knee is pointing out side ways and his foot is poitning towards his umm privates!
I then shove his foot in the gathered up leg and pull the rst over his leg and up.
It really is easy to do that way and I found if I bought a bigger size suit it is easier to put on.

i find them really easy, i simply dislocate my bubs knees and bend her legs in half and pop them straight in to the leg holes
I love mine!
I've got the long leg ones and I don't find them hard at all.
DH does though.
You have to make sure the shirt bit is properly pulled down before attempting the legs.
I gather the leg... get bubbas foot, turn it out 'frog leg style' and then slip the leg over and pull it up OVER THE THIGH...
then the same to the other side...
If you make sure you pull the elastic up to over the thigh when you put the suit on, it doesn't 'cut' into them when you're tyring to put the other leg in.

Dh seems to think that our easysuit is easier to put on Sarah now that shes older! I think Ive got the hang of it now.

I have a long legged one and a short legged one.
The Long legged one is a nightmare - but the short legged one is fine.

 Hardsuit!!
We call it that now too.
DD (20 months) was in hospy last month and last week on the same ward and the nurses were so facinated by how ridiculously hard the easy suit is to use. So much so that they commented on it the next time we were in. LOL. At least they are making an impact!
 I know!! I was in Big W and a whole group of new mums had congregated around them and we were all *****ing about what stupid things they are. The marketing was just so good that everyone bought one but my baby screams the house down if I try to get it on him!
