Hi I'm only at 34 weeks in the 3rd trimester but feel unusually **** with sore legs, sore shoulders, sore tum, difficulty walking, uncomfortable sitting, lying down, sleeping etc...in short it feels like there are no moments at all when I feel remotely ok and well!
I know the third trimester is meant to be like this, but I'm not sure whether this is extreme or not. This is bub #2 and I'm sure I felt quite ok with #1 at this stage.

Just wanting to know if anyone else has experienced similar symptoms at this stage of the pregnancy?

Friends at this stage have been at the gym, out walking etc yet I feel like I can hardly move and just want to lie down all the time.

Thanks for your help!

Some days I feel the same way and I am only 25 weeks. I did feel that it did come on later with my first pregnancy but running after #1 could also be contributing to the aches. I liken them to growing pains like when you were a teenager. My legs ache and my back and shoulders almost throb at night making it very difficult to sleep. efore I go to bed I have a bath with Radox Muscle salts and some nights I even wake and have a hot shower to soothe the muscles.
I know that types of pregnant women who are active an are full of beans and it makes me wanna hide away in shame :D. But I trudge on.
Its totally normal I think to be feeling physically like you are. Maybe you should try a pregnancy physio or try some pregnancy aqua aerobics? These might loosen and relax the muscles more. It helped with my #1.

I'm the same. I have been uncomfortable for what seems like forever. I just figure that I am one of those lucky? ladies that is completely in tune with their body and just feels EVERYTHING. I keep plodding along knowing that he has no choice but to come out eventually...even if I have to reach up and rip him out myself!!

I feel the same some days, Im 29 weeks. Last night DH had to rub all over my legs and hip areas to get me to move again. Once he gave them a good rub, I was fine again.

Try the heat packs and if you can get someone to give them a good rub, sometimes just getting the blood flowing more freely can do wonders.

i am 35 weeks pregnant with baby #2, and the only way to explain the pain i am in is like being kicked in the groin a hundred times. i am in pain all day every day and at night time its so bad that my legs cant hold me up to get to the toilet and dh has to help me. i KNOW it wasnt like this with #1 and the doc said the baby is squashing my nerve endings which is causing the pain in my groin. its so bad i just want to cry all day, so i feel your pain. its terrible. and i feel terrible because the main reason i want to have this baby now asap is just to stop this pain and pressure in my pelvic / groin area. why would god make us to be able to carry babies then put us in pain the whole time?!?!?!

I feel positive that this is not entirely unusual - thanks everyone!
I especially understand re the sore groin area - holy cow, I felt for sure this part of me was going to fall off or do something drastic!
My ob said the baby was especially low and engaged in the pelvic area hence the reason for the soreness.
Perhaps for some reason it has now backed out and "disengaged" because this week hasn't been nearly as sore!
Just of course my back, tummy etc and I do agree that a lot of it is brought on by looking after a demanding 19 month old DD.
I was reading another thread about the condition which renders you in a wheelchair due to the discomfort and pain - now I feel quite guilty for complaining, fingers crossed I don't have to go down that path.
Cheers everyone and keep on keeping on, time will keep ticking over and before long hopefully we will all be back to "normal" (whatever that is!) :)
