our DS is an IVF miracle too!!!!!

result of 3 years worth of tears trying by ourselves and then bingo first time lucky with IVF. Just wished that we had of gone to seek help much earlier than there would have been time for me to have another little miracle (hopefully) but unfortunately I'm not getting any younger.

Beckkles special BIG HUGS to you :hugs: you must have went through so much to have your little darling - thank goodness you and your DH never gave up hope - what a miracle for you!!!!

Aren't they all precious little souls.

I use to just sit and look at him all the time (and still do) awake or asleep and just say "I still can't believe he's ours". My mum calls him "Precious Pot" and that he is.

Hey do any of the clinics that you ladies went to ever have reunions of IVF babies??? now wouldn't that be great to get them all together. I'd love my IVF specialist to because it would be great for him as well to see how many couples he has helped to bless.

I was under Micheal Gronow in the end. My prev specialist that had a sat clinic here decided to just do obstetrics. Had all my treatment and transfers done at RWH lol only found out about Freemasons when having my 6 week scan with Micheal. Ohh I ramble so much. Who treated you?

I went through Dr Foster and John Mc Bain for treatment. I went through Dr Gronow as my OB he was fantastic. Next time I will go through him for my treatment. I had some of my transfers done at RWH too!

I had to make a decision on my obst care as I had lost 2 at 20 weeks prev, Micheal made me feel so much better about it when he asked me who was going to treat me and I said who he replied Ohh he wil get you to the end, and he was right. Wasn't too sure at the start but found him to be great at dosage and quality of eggies and when he put Eliza's FET in he said that is a great embie and whoohoo it was.
What a small world it is..lol

I am just thankful that there are very clever people in this world that gave us the chance. Ahh my reproductive life has been a saga BUT it is funny cause now when I look at Eliza all is forgotten, I'm sure you girls are the same.
LOL I think that is why I am going back ...long term memory loss hehe

We can all be proud that we contributed to Dr Gronows mercedes:thumbsup: rofl

Hi all

My darling angel is nearly 13 months old and was conceived throuh IVF (ICSI)... We are having our second FET attempt on Friday - cross fingers...

We had 2 unsuccessful IUI attempts, and then fell pregnant on our 2nd IVF cycle - very lucky!!! We wanted to try for #2 last October, and had an unsuccessful FET. Our Dr wanted us to finish breastfeeding before we had another FET attempt - so my DD's last bf was on her 1st birthday!! We have 3 embryos left - enough for 2 attempts - but hopefully we'll get lucky with this transfer on Friday!!

Cheers!

petster - i'll be hoping this is it for you!! Are you doing natural FET's? I did a cycle in november last year, but i had to stop breastfeeding before my dr would let me take the hormone replacement.

Bec - So, what are you plans with #2?? Got any dates yet?

~beckkles~
18-04-2006, 09:11 AM
alybel: I'm trying to weigh the odds up to my best advantage lol which means umm no date set but my specialist is pretty good I would only have to give him a few days notice plus my Fets are always done with FSH injections. So it will be in the next month or so just wait for AF to kick start off it

Hi all

Alison - The FET was a natural cycle... It took forever for me to ovulate this cycle (day 21!), probably because it was my first cycle after ceasing breastfeeding...

We have 1 embie left, so :fingerscrossed: it works for us this time... My beta is 28 April... It sucks, 'cause I'm working that day!! I don't want to be at work when I get the result!!!

Cheers!

P.S. Thanks all for the well-wishes...

Hi there, I'm new to the site, I have been lurking for awhile and thought it was time I posted. I have just had my first IVF baby 14.04.2006 - Hamish. It was our third attempt (ICSI) and we went through Monash Clayton, our Dr was Beverley Vollenhoven. I still can't beleive that he's here and can't stop looking at him. It's amazing that there are some many of us in this special club, it's always great to know that your not the only one out there.

Hi Everyone, does anyone know the success on ICSI if you have had children naturally before?

I have two children, 7 & 9, and now blissfully married to a wonderful man. We both have children from previous relationship, and now want one together...

He had reversal and it didnt work too well, he has antibodies on the sperm. Hopefully they can wash it etc etc and it will be ok.

Was wondering if that because ive had two children naturally, does that mean i have an ok chance of holding it after the transfer? Assuming we have some and they fertilise..

Pardon me for being a cranky pregnant b***h, but this is a thread titled "Who has an IVF child?". I would be very happy to answer your Q if you posted a new thread with the Q... I just don't think you posted your Q in an appropriate place! Most of us on this thread weren't lucky enough to hace conceived naturally! I realize you are in a asituation now where you have to go through IVF but still... I just posted that I was pregnant - a feat, because it is an IVF pregnancy, and you completely ignored my post!! I trust it was on oversight by you:( ...

Sorry to vent!

Cheers!

Sorry to upset you. I dont think i deserved that though

Mel-j

You are right - I was probably a bit over-the-top...:o It wasn't the content of your post that made me angry, it was the fact that you apparently didn't take the time to read my post about being pregnant... It was such a huge thing for me, and you failing to make mention of it made me feel like you were trivilaising it... I'm sorry for my childish knee-jerk reaction to it! I wish you all the very best and hope you achieve some success with IVF...

All the best...
