I'm thinking of Mothers' Day and the juggle of mothers etc.

Was contemplating brunch for all the family mothers but I'm not up to doing the Hostess routine.

Anyone got any good recommendations for central or northside of Brisbane for brunch?

Hi! We had a big family brunch recently at Watt Modern Dining at the Powerhouse. There was over 20 of us, and it was wonderful with a huge table overlooking the water - relatively well priced for what it was too. www.watt.net.au (http://www.watt.net.au)

Another fave for largeish groups is 16 on Park at Milton. www.16onpark.com.au (http://www.16onpark.com.au)

Thanks, girls. Will investigate these options!

My main aim is to do no cooking or cleaning (before or after)!!!

That would really be my ideal Mothers' Day!

Hey girls,
How about booking a table at the Everton Park Hotel so if the ones that cant get rid of there kids for the lunchtime we can just let them off and run around the giant playground.

The food is pretty reasonable and nicely priced. Its a big kid friendly hotel...we got to book in soon though...

Hi, this place isn't northside but its excellent if you have kids in tow. The Royal Mail at Tingalpa (Wynnum Rd) they have a huge playground and a kids room with video games. I'm pretty sure they're doing a seafood buffet for Mothers Day. Good Luck and have a happy MOthers Day!

MM, have you been to the Sofitel now that it has been renovated?

They will no doubt do a Mothers Day event and it honestly is a lovely new contemporary restaurant now.

Alternatively, outside at the Stamford Plaza, under the marquee but overlooking the river is really a gorgeous breakfast location. I believe that the selection of the buffet at the Sofitel is much nicer though.
