To concieve a girl

My partner and i are currently trying to decide wether we should ttc#3 after our wedding in august, only thing is we really want a girl. We alrady have 2 boys and although we love them to death we really feel that there is a gap left in our lives without a daughter.

If anyone has some infomation about concieving girls then i would really be appriciative.

I have found that the best way to have a boy - is to wish for a girl :laughing: worked for us.... (not that we dont love the little man now that we have him)
.. maybe it works in reverse for a girl??

- the only system that I place any faith in is the cycle (sex well before ov. will bring a girl - close to or on ov. will bring a boy - we conceived dead on the middle of the month... ta da... boy - apparently the boy swimmers are faster than the girls - but dont live as long... ) the other systems all seem a little too .. irrelevant to me... JMO

I'm with you here Veve. Our DS#1 was a smack on ovulation conception. Our DD, we worked on for 5 months so as not to go too close to ovulation.

lol veve, we wished for a girl and got DS:) Then I kinda worked out when I ov. and hid from DH when I thought I was...and we got DD :D So I guess that theory worked for us.

I looked into other things too, like the diets, those chinese charts...I don't trust those, they were wrong for DS and right for DD...positions, I think it was woman on top is favorable for a girl, tho I could be wrong it was a while ago that I read it.

the diets can help to a certain extent as, for instance if you eat allot of acidic foods it will favour the X (female) sperm, and alkaline for the Y (male) sperm. These foods change the ph balance of your body including your vagina and cervical mucus.

We are going to try for a boy using both the shettles method and trying to eat more alkaline foods!
