What does this mean? I had a check up today and the doctor told me that bubs was head up and that i didnt have much amniotic fluid. He said that i have to take it easy and rest as much as i can.
I am worried as to what this means for my bub. Has anyone else had this?:(

did u have a scan? I didnt think they could tell by feeling? amniotic fluid is constantly replaced so :hugs: its all ok
Rest and fluids....
Amniotic fluid is replaced, but in later pregnancy the quantity does decrease slightly....
It's not all bad news, just means that they'll keep a close eye on your levels.
low fluid can mean lots of things
your GP shouldn't have told you that without doing a scan, as fluid moves around the place and all the GP feels is whats in frount, i'm sure you've got nothing to worry about
don't stress

my dr told me at my last scan, last week - that I was also on the low side for the volume of amniotic fluid
he said to drink at least 2.5 litres of fluid a day, but he didn't say what it really meant in terms of the health of the baby

That's right the doctor shouldn't have worried you like that without doing a scan. I had low fluids and my baby was fine. When I was hit in the tummy there were issues but more issues were caused by the worry and panic I went through than the actual problem itself so doctors really do need to think things through before telling pregnant mums-to-be this information.

? a scan isn't the only way to determine if there is low amniotic fluid - a dr can tell from a variety of ways
you can google "amniotic fluid" + low to get more info on it

Thanks heaps for that. I am doing a google search right now.
Its says that they can tell by the outline of your baby being felt easier. I said to the doctor that when bubs kicks i can feel that it is much closer to the outside of me than i thought. It also says that bubs presents in a breech position due to not being able to turn easily and bubs is breech at the moment.
