Hello, Just wondering if anyone out there had any helpful info on how I could help things along in regards to falling pregnant with #2. It took us 12months to conceive our son and we have now been trying AGAIN for another 12months with no luck :(. I have been using the ovulation kits so our timing is right but it just doesnt seem to be happening for us. Can anyone give advise on what we could try? Any help would be great. should I see my doc and maybe try fertility drugs?? Im not sure what I should do :hissy:. Thanks, Theresa.

Has dh been tested at all? That would be my first suggestion...you could be ovulating just fine, but if his count/motility/morphology is low, that could be whats causing such a delay. To get that done, you can just go to your GP for the referral and info. If that all looks normal, I would get a referral to a FS who will do testing on both you and dh to make sure there isnt anything standing in the way: blocked tubes, bad eggs, cervical mucus issues, etc, etc. You may not need to turn to drugs at all...just start the testing, and go from there. :) Hope that helps?? :)

Thanks. Hubby was tested before we conceived our son and his sperm was fine - he actually had a high sperm count!! I saw a gyno and had an internal ultrasound to check for blockages, ovuation, etc. which was fine, i was just about to release egg and they couldnt see any visible blockages. So I was booked in for a test where the put dye in to check for blockages but by the time they called to say i was on top of waiting list i was already pregnant so didnt get it done! maybe i should go and get this test done (have been told its not very comfortable so was hoping i wouldnt need to have this done!). Thanks for your help.

Thats good to hear you didnt have any obvious issues with ds! I would still get dh tested at least...a lot can happen in a couple of years and many things can affect sperm...if just for your own peace of mind. Other than that, I would go ahead and make an appt with a FS then since you have been ttc for 12 months (and it took you that long with ds). Good luck! :)
