Hey ladies,

I thought I would give a plug to DFA (Defence Families Australia). Their new website is still being completed but you can register and look around.

There is a menu item called 'posting locations' and if you're being posted somewhere, you can find out more info.

Anyhow yesterday I had a look and thought our one for Rockingham was pretty unappealing so emailed the webmaster etc and offered to send in photos of our area ie beautiful beaches and also gave a new blurb for them to add. ie .. great beaches, dog friendly beaches, great playgrounds and so on.

So I'm thinking if you guys have anything to contribute for your current location, you could email the webmaster or the head honcho of DFA. They are very welcoming and any info is appreciated. Even if you have photos. Keep in mind they are still upgrading and some sections aren't finished but hopefully when it is, whatever info you send in will be there or won't be far away.

Also keep an ear out for the DFA meetups at your local community house .. or somewhere else cos then you can give some input.

Ahhh yes - did you get a copy of the Defence Family Matters magazine the other day? Interesting reads...

Yes got ours yesterday. Definitely some interesting reads there. I think that's the best one yet cos alot of the time I can't really relate or it's boring lol.
I did send a pic of my dog in there and I think it was last issue she was in. :)

I think DFM is improving with topics and not making it all so lardi dah with topics that are boring.
