View Full Version : 2yr old with GTube - anyone else in Melbourne

Hi,
I have just moved to Victoria from NSW and miss all my tubefed kids mums to talk to. Is there anyone out there in Melbourne that I could get to know.
My daughter is 2yrs old, born with severe GORD, failure to thrive, glandular fever at 7months, multiple milk intolerance. Tube fed since 6weeks. Originally NG, GTube from 9months. On Infinity portable pump feeds. She is doing quite well and starting to eat more.

Im in perth but my two year old is also tube fed hers is a GJ tube, also from GERD, as well as other complications

the infinity pumps are great hey lol better then the old ones

How do you find your little one handles having a back pack does she where it yet or you still carry it like we do lol

Hi,
Nice to meet you. She doesn't mind wearing it at all. Although her bag is a very cute one that a great friend of mine in sydney made for her. We just added a few things to make it pump accessible but she has no probs. She would rather wear it as she gets more upset if she see's the tubing.
What kind of bag do you have? do you use the containers or bags?

Hi also noticed that your little one doesn't sleep. Mine is on melatonin as she has sleep apnea and moderate - severe RLS

Hiya, I'm in Sydney, My nearly 2 year old also has a PEG due to FTT, GERD, slow bowel motility, .....long list, she has a metabolic condition known as Congenital disorder of Glycosylation 1a. Welcome!!!!!

Yeah thats was close to me - Revesby. we went to randwick for buttons etc and st george for feeding clinics.
