I just about to start with cloth nappies for the first time. (3rd child) and I'm wondering if anyone can give me advice on which is better for a warmer climate. Wet or dry pailing?

We live in Hervey Bay and do get our share of humidity and as much as Ilike the idea of dry pailing I'm a little apprehensive as to the sweating of the nappies resulting in mould if they are left in the bucket for more that 24 hrs.

Being that I work full-time I really only want to have to wash every 2-3 day so wondering if any other Mum's have had experience with this situation and what they found was best.

Most of my nappies are AIO's so I am worried about how the elastic and PUL will go if they are wetpailed. I've heard even in jsut plain water they have a tendency to break down?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Tanya:confused:

Don't soak MNC's. Just try to keep the bucket out of direct sunlight & it should be fine. Not sure about your house, but my laundry is the coldest room in the house.

Come to think of it, I think some people drypail in the laundry tub, so maybe there is no need to even put a lid on the bucket.....

i don't really notice any dramas with the humidity... but then again I've never used cloth somewhere that doesn't average 120% a day, so I don't know, maybe I do and don't realise!
