I was just wondering how much sleep should a 4week old baby be getting?
My little one doesnt have much trouble falling asleep whilst being nursed, but the moment you put her down she wakes up about 5 mins later.. is she spoilt from being held? i know she has alot of 'wind' problems so this also might be the case?
?!?!?!?!?!

Honestly, you can't spoil a baby by holding them too much. In fact you can't hold them too much either. It's really common (and normal) for babies to fall asllep in your arms and then wake within 5 minutes of being put down. And it also common to think you are doing something wrong. Don't worry, you aren't doing anything wrong. You are just loving your baby.
Check out this site. It has some great info on what you're asking about.
Good luck.:)

SalOO8 is absolutely right. You can't spoil a bubby. My DD was just like this, and we just ended up following her lead ie if she wanted to be held, we held her. Initially we were so worried about doing the "right" thing and we ended up totally stressed, which didn't help any one.
You are doing a fantastic job:thumbsup:

thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!!
i guess i have just been letting the 'older' people around me.. my parents and their friends get into my head. i know they believe a baby should be fed and then put right back down. i enjoy giving my baby cuddles and want her to feel really loved and secure with me. what makes the whole situation funny is those people who tell me not to pick her up and spoil her are the first people to take her out of my arms when they see her hee..
yesterday i increased her bottle amounts and she slept really well all day, i was dreading the night time thinking she would be awake all night after having a good 'day' sleep, but she slept from 9pm - 2am and fell pretty much right back asleep until 5:30. i was very impressed with her.
again thankyou!!
