Has anyone heard of Dr Thomas Lee?

My premmie baby was seen by the on call pead, Dr thomas lee. I know he is based in Dandenong vic, but that is all I know. Has anyone heard of him or know anything about him?

He appeared to be quite nice when we saw him in hospital, but only saw him 3 times in the 9 days Logan was in the SCN. None of the midwives said anything positive nor negative about him, where they were very positive about some of the other peads.

Logan has his checkup in 3 weeks, so I am curious. I also have to take him in tomorrow as the Maternal health nurse has noticed he is doing something funny with his lungs and is wheezing and vomiting:barf:.

We have been seeing Dr Lee since DS was born prem 10 months ago. I found him to be quite nice and caring towards my baby. Have seen him twice since the birth and are due again this month.

Within the first 5 mins of our first visit he picked up that DS had reflux (MCHN hadn't picked it up). I will say that our visits have been quite brief but only because there were no concerns.

Just remember that the hospital referral only covers you for the first visit. You will need to get a GP referral after that otherwise medicare wont pay, i think it cost about $90 with $50 refund from Medicare.

Also if you are concerned about the wheezing see the gp, dont hang out for Dr Lee.

Thankyou so much for your reply. :angel: It is reassuring to know someone else had heard of him and found him to be a good doctor.

Dr Lee diagnosed Logan with GORD and having a floppy laryx. We have to see him again on the 28th, for dischargh check up and GORD check up.

His prices must have changed. It was $100 for the visit (better than the $250 when he visited the hospital at 1am the first time.)

Hi, I know this is a bit late from your first post - but anyway - My son (now 6 yrs old) was seen by Dr.Lee at birth and follow up visits - I thought he was "excellent" he diagnosed reflux and picked up a heart murmur - he was spot on with everything... I requested he attend my second sons birth which he did....
Dr.Lee also diagnosed my 1st son with a genetic disorder and now follows up yearly appointments
