I thought they actually covered it pretty well considering most of Hollywood is run by Jewish people. The cons of the procedure were well voiced I thought.

I also don't like the thought of it.

I understand it for religious or medical needs, but otherwise, I have been told it's not necessary. I don't really mind what others do, but for my boys - no way!

I want to remind ppl of the guidelines for language (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/showthread.php?t=120819) used when posting in any of the circ sections. Some earlier posts have been edited, any more in this thread that require editing will receive infractions.

Cheers

Well put, this is a choice that each indivdual parent must make. You have made your choice and I respect that. Unfortunately others who are not as christian as you want others to respect their choice not to but ,do not offer the same in return should you decide it is in the best interest of YOUR child to go ahead with circumcision.

:flowerz: Nature gave men foreskins for a very good reason. I think it's as ridiculous as female circumcision. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I agree completely, I don't understand why it is up to parents whether or not they will circ their children, as their boys penis does not belong to the parents. Also given that up to date information tells us that it is just not nessecary most of the time.

I don't think so.

Circumcision is not another decision like breast feeding or not etc.

Circumcision affects a man for life, only a small part of his life is spent in the care of the parents.

Children come through us, they are not our possessions.
It is our job to give them as good a start to life as we can (preferably by letting them have an intact body).

When the boy grows up he can choose to alter his body if he wishes.
