Anybody know of a good place to take the kids??

Heys :wave: Were planning to go for a long weekend getaway, Our family and another family and not sure of any places that are family friendly and good for the kids(we both have toddlers) eg. adventure parks stuff like that. We dnt mind the drive but just no clue of a good destination. We went to geelong adventure park for easter and that was fun..Any suggestions??? were from Melbourne btw.

there is Gumbya park, on the princess freeway, going east of melb. Takes about an hour, to an hour n half from Melb

Phillip Island??

Lakes entrance is always nice and there are lots of things to do up there too :) its about 4 hours from melbourne though

Phillip island is alot of fun too theres a few things to do down that way as well

i would also say Phillip island... We went not long ago with our DD 15months.. We saw the penguins, koalas, animail parks, churchill island etc.. Cowes is a great tourist place with nice beaches for kiddies... It can get a bit pricey but if you buy the 3 park pass for adults i think it's $32 each and kids 2 & under get in for free for the majority of the tourist parks. We had a lovely weekend!!!

We have purchase a couple of books from the book store with loads of cheapies, free etc ideas for kids and babies. It is called Melbourne for kids. We also purchased a book with all the parks, beaches etc. We use them every weekend and always do something different. We are new to Melbourne so have had to find our feet with everything. This is an amazing way to find things to do and also when people come to stay. It also has restaurants which have child care. If you want to have a meal and the kids want a play. They have a child minder with loads to do.. Check it out..
