Hi ZZ, i had already been treated for endometriosis and we were trying for about 18mths when doc decided that i should have the dye test. came back that i had one tube blocked and the other partially.

We actually started trying same as u since Nov 05! its been nearly a year since the dye test whilst we have been deciding whether or not to do ivf. I can actually start synarel in a week's time but i still haven't confirmed it! I just cant seem to take that first step into the treatment! Im really dreading the side effects of the drugs and dont know how i would cope with failure first time round even though i know that it is a trial and error process depending on how your body reacts...

Hi Ziggyzena - I have one tube blocked, however, had my good tube removed in November last year due to an eptopic pregnancy. Very unfortunate. Anyway, I have been TTC since Jan 2005, started IVF in Oct 2005. I have just had a case of bad luck along the way but I am expecting a BFP with my upcoming cycle in April. I should be started by the end of the week on an Antagonist ICSI cycle.

Cantwait08 and ZiggyZena - wishing you both the best of luck for your upcoming BFP. Sounds like we have all been travelling this hard road for far too long. Babyville has to be our next destination :)

Thanks for the support ziggyzena and nevergiveup. I will definately do it, just have to stop procrastinating.

I have started weekly acupuncture treatments, have improved my diet and started exercising at the gym for fitness for the last 8 weeks. And for the last 3 mths I have even cut out the 2-4 alcoholic (work) drinks per month i used to have, which wasn't that much anyways!

I REALLY hope that every little bit counts! :flowerz:

Nevergivenup - how has the icsi been? have u had good fertilisation - embryo dev? I heard that it is not always foolproof and sometime the egg still doesn't fertilise. Thats the other thing ivf is one thing but when we found out we had to do icsi as well i felt like that made the whole process totally artificial - ie no natural selection, instead an scientist chooses the sperm and makes the baby.. :crying:

cantwait08 - we have always had good fertilisation resuts and good quality embies. They usually say to expect 50% of the eggs to fertilise but we have been getting better results than that. We were told it wasn't necessary for us to do ICSI, however, could prevent getting no fertilisation. The beauty of the scientist make the selection is it helps them to pick the healthiest sperm thus avoiding an abnormal embryo to develop.

yeah i guess so, it is to give the best possible outcome. We have been told we definately have to do icsi cos DF has good count but very poor motility and morphology.

Its great to hear that you have had good fert. rate. I am just hoping that we get to blastocyt stage too.

Oh and i am going to start at then end of this week and go for the 1st cycle! Hope its not to late to confirm it tomorrow...
