As soon as I hear /see this name I just cringe !

Years ago I did work experience there and it was awful, I wasnt allowed to change kids if they had an accident and this one poor little boy had wet himself and they didnt change him for at least half an hour and thats after me reminding them 2 or 3 times.

But thats not the worst , at sleep time there was a child that didnt want to sleep and every time this child got up the carer (supposedly the manager/head person) would pick the child up by the arm and literally drop the child back onto the bed, the poor child was so scared

I dont know if this is still how they operate but I wouldnt even recommend them to look after my dog !

I was very disgusted by the way the kids were treated there

Thats outrageous!
I can't believe places like that stay open.

Sometimes I wonder how parents don't pick up on this kind of behavior.

which one was it JazzaK? The OP had 2 centres in question...
I think that sounds horrific...you trust these centres with the care of your child and trust that the accredidation they have,a nd the programs and policies that they show you count for something...
Luckily there are a lot of good ones out there too...hope you find one mummy2cheekymoo, there is a new guide called choosing quality care (google it), that gives you some pointers to check for and ask about...also as a parent/customer you have the right to pop in anytime during the day to see how they operate when parents not there...also make sure you find a place that really open to parent involvement and suggestions.
I hope that someone in the Belmont/Ascot/Redcliffe area knows of a great place for your cheekymoo!

It was the tommie turtle in belmont, the one not far from belmont forum!

ETA: If the Belmont one you are talking about is on the corner of Epsom ave and Sydenham st then I wouldnt recommend them either, the few times I have been there the staff completely ignore the kids, and just talk among themselves and do their own thing

sorry I havent been much help on the positive side :(

There is Buggles in Morley, I worked there for 11 years and loved it. Hopefully it is still a great centre.

I think it was that was awful!

My friend was telling me today that she worked in a center for like a day
(because she was so disgusted and never went back)
That used to take crying babies and put them under a tree and leave them cry for hours and hours.
And when my friend questioned what they were doing they told her the babies were just having tummy time!

Isn't that horrible?
