Hi girls.

I have been TTC #1 for a few months now and did a HPT yesterday and this morning and both showed a faint line... I think I ovulated Thursday 27th and AF isn't due until 11th. Would my faint line (x 2) indicate I'm pregnant? Or is it still too early to call?? Am very confused at the moment!! (but a teensy bit excited too!!!)

I'm no expert, but it has been known to be able to get a BFP as early as 8DPO.

Goodluck!

Can you post a pic?

I'm no expert, but it has been known to be able to get a BFP as early as 8DPO.NO!!! 8dpo is way too early. Don't even stress yourself by doing one that early.

12dpo will give you a definite answer. For some people even that is too early.

Good Luck & baby dust to you. :bee:

its best not to test til af is due or late not because it wont show but because you can get a faint positive from a chemical preg and get excited only to have af show a few days later, alot of women experience chemical pregnancies but would never know it as af comes as egg doesnt implant so a faint line before 14dpo can still mean you are not utd. goodluck though

O day on the 27th puts you at about 8-9dpo. If you were saying there was nothing on a test yet, I'd agree that yes it's too early to write it off because most women would still show a negative test at that stage.

But the fact that you're saying there IS a faint line there, I would say you're probably pregnant ;) It is definitely possible to get a faint BFP at 8/9dpo, just not hugely common. There is the possibility of a chemical pregnancy but that still means you're pregnant - a chemical pregnancy is just one that miscarries before or around the time of AF - ie. very very early. But it's a pregnancy nonetheless.

I can get a faint bfp around 10/11dpo.

Keep testing over the next few days - if it continues to get darker I'd say you're good to go ;)
Congrats :)

Implantation happens between 7 and 10 days after ovulation, so it is possible to get a pos HPT after 8dpo, it isn't common though

most people don't get a pos HPT till between 10 and 14dpo, and quite a few people take a bit longer than that

I would wait untill AF is due and test again then

good luck

Yeah, I didn't mean to get your hopes up or anything.

I was just saying that it HAS been known to get a positive at 8DPO. I guess I should have added that it isn't very common.

My bad!

My REAL advice would be to wait until AF is due atleast, like everyone else has said.

Goodluck!

Oh thanks for all the replies. I am now waiting until AF is due this week so we'll see what the next 6 days bring!! Hopefully some patience! :)

Im one that got a + on 8dpo! Like others said, its not common tho and you would be lucky to get a +hpt that early...BUT, if you have, then most likely you implanted a little early...some can implant on 5dpo. There are the exceptions to the "rules". All that to say good luck and let us know how you go! :)

well... I waited... and then tested another 4 times and still got :bfp:, confirmed it with the doc so looks like I'm on the way to joining the December girls :-) :smiliedance::smiliedance:

Good luck to all the other girls testing in April - hope the :bfp: come your way soon...

I had a very faint pink line on day 9, and did loads of reading and apparently the earlier you implant after ovulation the better chance it'll stick, so congratulations!
