View Full Version : I've worked it out!
Hooray!! It only took me two days but I worked it out!!
"Stomy." said my boy. "Stomy." he stands at the tv, looking at it. "Stomy." I had no idea what the heck a stomy was.. it didn't sounds like "Elno" or "BlooCloo" (which is complete with hand actions) or like his usual call for "Tubby Tubby" either. What is a "Stomy."
I tried to call Grandma, he's there two days a week.. but no answer.. hmm.. "STOMY" he calls again.
:hair: What is this "Stomy."
I thought about the toys that he plays with at Grandma's... then tapped something into google, brought up a picture and called Cobey over..
"STOMY!!!!!!" he shouted pointing at the picture of Thomas the Tank Engine and running my way.
:smiliedance: STOMY has been found!
 I know this game LOL:laughing:
DD used point at random things, lights/power points/knives and forks etc and say "OH-JOO" Mean while I am going WTF???
Took me ages....it was dangerous:laughing:

Hehe bubs has been saying Thomas for ages, maybe because thats his name.
What gets me is the sentences, he is so precise in what he is saying and can I get it - NO.
He has some really set words, such as Water, Gink (drink), Dan el (Daniel), Big Kick (loves soccer), high (related to big kick.
Can even say Yellow now, Cobes got that one real quick:)
haha there's a sentence Cobey always says but I can't work out what it is, he says it all the time and now says "Yeah" or nods afterwards because that's what I do when he says it. lol
He has a great bank of words that he pulls out now as well... the one I hear most often is "Elno" :p

 Kids, eh!
DS is only 14 months, but is saying heaps of words already. Dabada is "helicopter", he even says it when he can hear one but not actually see it. Lately he has been pointing at all sorts of things and saying "Nummana", and I have NO idea what he's on about.
I need a "baby - English" translation dictionary!

Aww yay for discovering the origins of Stomy!
Isn't that game fun? We've still got that game happening at my house and I assume we'll be playing it for manby years to come... my DD's name has evolved since she learned to talk and now sounds much more like her real name Liberty as it's now "Biberty". "Bibby" is what she started calling herself initally and I used to think she was asking for her doll baby. lol.

Hmm, don't think so, his word for banana is "naana", and he says that when pointing directly at a banana. Will let you know if I discover what it is!

Captain feathersword was know as "A-Bear-sore" for ages here until Estella could say it properly.
