Embrassing Question

My DD is 6 months old now and she is BF, and all of a sudden one of my boobs is sore, just underneath...It feels a bit hard in the sore spot but there is no redness...
I dont know what it is. I always feed her first on this boob but it doesnt help..Is this masititis? How do I help relieve the pain?

Sounds like it could be the beginning of mastitis. If you start to feel like you are getting a really bad flu - go straight to the doctor, pronto!

When I almost got it for a 2nd time I found that a hot shower was good and I hand expressed, concentrating on rubbing and really pressing the sore spot.

:yes: Sounds like Mastitis to me. Definantly go to the doc if you start feeling flu symptoms, they can give something to help. As Angike said, expressing in a hot shower is meant to help & massaging the area. It helped my SIL lots. She also put cabbage leaves in her bra which is meant to help as well which made my DF & her DH a bit :confused: ... :laughing:
