My DD has the reddest cheeks at the moment.

It looks kind of cute, and she doesn't seemed phased by it, but what could be causing it?

She has a cold, could it be related? Or weather?

Ahh, yes, I have heard this is a sign of teething. Although she never got them with the other teeth..

Maybe the change in weather, I dunno is it cooling down over there?

DS has eczema so his skin is dry anyway, but since the weather has been cooling down they've been a bit chapped, poor guy.

Yep, it has gotten cooler over the last couple of days, could be that.

Oh Ok.. yes it has been windy, although she hasn't spent too much time in the wind. I guess their skin is just so sensitive though.

Lol how sweet :)

DS had really bright red cheeks today, I just put it down to the cold weather. Plus he had a big, snuggly warm jumper on.

Molars were the only teeth that gave DS red cheeks, and his skin there was a bit dry at the time too.

um...

lemme think.

I think he was walking, and he walked at 13 months.

eee, I can't remember :o bad mummy!! I didn't take much notice of his teething because he never complained. I only connected the two things afterwards, lol.

:) that's cool... maybe it could be molars.. hmm it's so hard to know!I just know, she never had red cheeks when her first 2 teeth came through, and the next two (top ones) came through about a week ago...

LOL... she looks like Noddy, they're perfect red cirlces on her cheeks! :)

Hi Katie,

Your post reminded me of when DS1 was a little baby and he all of a sudden had rosey red cheeks which I had also put down to teething. A few days later, I had a dr's appointment for myself and took him with me (as usual) and my dr informed me that he had a common condition called Slap Cheek. It's commonly called Slap Cheek as it looks like the child has been slapped. Don't be alarmed as it's easily treated IF that's what it is. Get it checked out if you're worried.

:hugs:
