Wasnt sure what to call this thread, but what i wrote fits perfectly.
Today i gave my breasts a squeeze to see if i had any discharge (TMI) and i did, however i noticed that from one duct it was brown.:o I am really concerned, has anyone else had this happen. I am 27 weeks pregnant.

It's cutely called "Rusty Pipes". It's just your body getting ready for bubs.
I had it with DS and absolutely panicked.
Don't panic - it wont hurt bubs, it will disappear.
If the discharge becomes smelly or offensive or you get pain/mastitis or a "hot" breast - see your GP
All normal.:)
Mine started with just a bit then I was waking up in puddles.

mine was clear then yellow, I think its all normal:)
I am only 9 weeks and I already have colustrum:o. I also noticed that I had a small bump on my nipple and it was really sore - so I squeezed and gunk came out. But now it feels fine.
I think as PP said if it starts to smell or you get a red spot that is really sore on your boob - see you DR.
I like the comment about rusty pipes:laughing:.
I never had any leakage or discharge with the two boys but I did Breastfeed both of them. I think it is just our bodies way of preparing - in my case very very early.
