View Full Version : A note to Small One...
Hello Small One,
this is your mother. (I have always wanted to say that!!)
Look, just a short note really, to let you know that I am not overly impressed with this morning sickness bizzo.
Darl, I get that it's just you letting me know you're ok, and I am thankful for that, don't get me wrong.
But, for nearly 2 weeks now this has been really out of control. And for nearly 2 weeks now I have been on holidays, but stuck on the couch. Can you understand what I am getting at?
To break it down for you, I am peeved that I have wasted my holidays feeling sick.
I would be happier if, in future, instead of this morning sickness, we come to some other arrangement. I don't care if you turn my eyelids purple. It's really up to you.
But I have to go back to work on Monday, and that is demanding enough without having to snack in front of whingey kids all day to stop myself being sick.
Look, it's not that I resent you; I don't. (I don't!!!) It's just that I am... well, let's say... less than satisfied with the current arrangement.
Let's cut a deal. I have an ultrasound booked for next friday, to check you out. Your first photo, oh how sweet. So, I'll let you continue to make me feel like crud until then, at which time you will cease. I will know at that stage that all is ok with your growth and whatnot, so you can stop sending me signals in the form of morning sickness to let me know you're hunky dory.
Oh, and this is my first commandment as your mother. Unfortunately for you, it's not negotiable.
Hugs and kisses and all that maternal stuff, :babydust2::goodvibes::babydust2:
Mum.

:laughing:Thats so sweet. My morning sickeness went away by week 12. Its horrible isnt it? Especially when you cant :barf:
It certainly is horrible!
I read somewhere that it maybe peaks at wk 9, which is roughly where I am, so hoping it goes downhill from here... although not holding my breath. (Or should I say uphill? I don't know anymore! )
I was talking to a friend today who is 25 weeks, and she said she had it til wk 15... blah to that, I say!!!

Note to Mum:
Forget it - things like Morning Sickness are just a small kick in the ar$e to let you know how things are gunna be from now on.
You might as well get used to the fact that you'll never have a hot cup of coffe ever again, or unmelted icecream or a hot dinner.
You cannot go to the toilet on your own (if you make it on time) for the next 5 years, or have a shower without interruption.
Also forget about laughing, coughing or sneezing with out blushing and crossing your legs for the next few years as well.
There will be no peaceful nights sleep for the next 18 years - cos if I don't wake you up, you'll lay in bed each night worrying about me.
You cannot have a phone call without 10 "Ah excuse me..." interuptions and forget about Bubhub and the internet unless it's b/w 1 and 2am or 1.45 and 2.15pm.
Your car will contain Dummies or Leggo and Barbie Shoes, sports clothes and smelly sneakers or school assigments for the next 17 years. There will be spew stains and leaky nappies, a bit of off-milk, cold toast and hand prints on the windows
Your handbag will have dummies, tissues and a rattle for the next 2 years at least.
For the next two years- maybe more - your clothes will become magnets for spew, smeared biscuits and spilt juice.
Your life is not your own ever again - so a little heartburn and a bit of MorningSickness is not that bad is it?
Love Bubs:p
PS - if I've missed anything I'm sure one of the mummies will add to it
:laughing::laughing::laughing:
Love, love, love it
Oh no... is it too late to back out?!
Thanks for talking it up, KayteO!
And Ains, I know you're having little eggies inside you very soon, so we shall see who will have the last laugh in a month or so, shall we?!?! :p

The floor does not need vacuuming:no:
Mummy needs to lie down and stop stressing:yes:
Mummy needs to bring up her natural sugar levels - eat an apple slowly and a piece of wholemeal/whole grain bread
Mummy needs to chill out -because the floor will alway be there - and tomorrow it'll still need vacuuming.

:iagree:with Nomsie's OP
Oh sorry, I laughed so much.
Im nearly 16 weeks and BaBee is STILL letting me know that s/he is FINE! :p
Well, I think I have a teenager in my womb... it hasn't quietened down at all in there... in fact, the visits to the toilet have increased over the weekend, if you know what I mean (I'm driving the porcelain (sp) bus!)
I can handle that, what I can't handle is more spotting, which started early this morning. Come on Small One, cut me a break!
Totally sympathize with you Nomsie. Mine is really bad and I'm 2 weeks behind you.
Writing an affermations of what you want to happen and believe in it. Then its more likely to come true. SO keep beliving it will stop soon.
With 1st DS 14 weeks and it stopped.
2nd DS 26 weeks and it stopped after accupuncture.
3rd bubs will stop now - as I will not tollerate hyperemesis again.
And if you stop now I will eat all the goodie nutritional stuff good to make you grow big and strong. I will get the gorgeous most sweet loving outfits mummy can buy.
I'll play you sweet soothing music for you to lull you off to sleep. You're brothers will hug you every night. SO be good for me as I don't wish to endewer (sp)? what I did last time as I believe I did my share for 26weeks.
Mummy loves ya. Stop now!
