Hi ladies, at the end of this year my DF and 3 kidlets are possible moving to Sydney from Perth (or brisbane if he gets his way lol)
I would prefer to move to Sydney only as i lived there till i was 12 and its a bit more in my comfort zone even though i know it will have changed...
What areas are nice these days? I know everyone will have differing views but just somewhere to roughly start would be good! I grew up around Moorebank and Holsworthy (i have heard these places arent the best???) as i was an army brat lol ;)
We need something relatively big with 3 boys and hopefully 1 more down the track... something not too expensive but not something that will need alot of TLC.
DFs work not an issue as he works overseas :D
Is it right that you are in a property price boom atm?
Thanks alot, sorry for all the 20 questions :sunshine:

Moorebank and Holsworthy are okay depending on which parts u move into, Wattle Grove is very nice, I am at Casula which is nice too cheaper, once again as long as u choose the right area of it. House prices are thru the roof and renting here is VERY tough, Took us 4 months and 15 applications to get a place, and we only have 1 child and excellent references. Buying at Casula for an average house is 350,00 ish, Holsworthy and Moorebank for some reason a little higher (so is there crime rate). Chipping Norton is nice but if u need a train no good. Alot of foreclosures here so probably a good time to buy further out, maybe Campbelltown, don't listen to te idiots who thinks it's horrible out there, U just need to come and have a good look around and pick the right spot.
If u can afford a little higher for a house then Revesby or Panania is brillant!!!

Around Macarthur is lovely & yes as KB said dont listen to the idiots sayings its awful etc. Yes there is some 'feralness' to it but show me an area that hasnt got that ?!?!?!?! Its still relatively quiet also but the traffic getting back into the city at peak hour can be an issue.
Panania, Padstow, Revesby etc again like KB said are really really nice but very pricey !
It all really depends on what you are after in terms of getting to work, what your kids require as to know what area is more suitable plus price plays a huge part due to rentals being at phenomenal prices & buying is even more out there !

Thanks soooo much for the help girls :D
I actually did look at Casula online and saw a few new houses KB, we are due to fly over in 3 weeks to have some family time and do our homework. Ill have a look at the areas you suggested for sure!
I agree Allyoo, every area has some feral part to it....i think coming over and having a look is going to be the best way to make up our minds, cant wait!!!!
What about Beaumont hills? Seems lovely on the net, also does anyone know of any nice places to build? I dont mind being about 45 mins tops away from CBD.
Thanks again :flowerz:
Hi there
We live in Beaumont Hills and have been here for a year - we shifted from NZ. We enjoy it here, it's really family orientated and lovely big homes on big sections. Lots of playgroups and shpping centres so there's no reason to go into the city. Good luck with the shift.

It takes me 1/2 hour from Casula to close to the city in off peak traffic, up to 2 hours on peak down the M5, find I don't need to go in much though (except to DD hospital) cause evrything is out this way!!!
