I have been going to my GP to find out why, I cant fall pregnant, he did scans and blood tests, and found out I was not ovulating, but still getting my period, and the scan shows signs of PCOS, and he reffered me to a gyn.

My 1st appointment with the gyn is coming up on 17th of april, and I just wanted to know, what do they normally do on this 1st visit??

My doctor said, she may want to operate to have a look, or just start me on something like clomid? So I dont really know what to expect, I just want to be pregnant, have been waiting so long, and it was crushing to go through all those months of trying, only to get :bfn:!!

Any insight will be great.

Hi there trouble:)
Sorry to change the subject but I was just wondering how do they test if you are ovulating or not? Is it a blood test?

the gyno will prolly want to do a lapraoscopy and hysteroscopy where they put a camera in through your belly button and up your through your happy area they will have a look see if you have cysts and blocked tubes any other abnormalities and may take a sample of your lining to test to see if there is anything wrong with that.
goodluck hope all goes well
i have had the procedures and they are painless you might spot for a few days after i got a staph infection though which doesnt happen often and that was painful. the gyno will run you through it all though and explain all the risks
