Just wondering if anyone else has encountered a similar problem and has any suggestions??
My 18 month old is in walkers (13-18kgs) and weighs 13kgs. He sleeps at night for about 12 hours but when it is cold for some reason I get him up and he is soaked in urine! I use huggies nappies as they are most absorbant and don't give him much to drink at night. I'm getting a bit sick of washing his PJs every day - anyone got any solutions?
Thanks!

Nah, I use huggies for night too, they are the only ones that work for us
BUT - UPSIZE for night!! My son also fits walker but for night time I put him in Junior, they still fit and cover more of his belly against leaks.
Also, a good pUL cover or wool cover over them works wonders!!

I always use a size up for night time with huggies. I use walkers on my 7 month old. So maybe try toddler ones for nightime with your bub?
We haven't ever had a leak with huggies, they are awwwesome!

Thanks for the suggestions - I might try going up to Juniors for the night time! I did put his nappy on differently last night (halfway down his butt and right up his front) and it seemed to keep it in so will see what happens....

Yep, i agree!!
We use cloth, but use sposies at night, and aldi are the BEST! (this is coming from an ex-huggies user who wouldnt use anything else!!)

Hi, my son went through a stage where he would wake up wet. i felt that it was because he was inbetween sizes. I eventually went up to the next size and that helped. My son is 13kg and in walkers. These fit well at the moment. I dread going into juniors as you can buy them in bulk! HOWEVER....
i use Aldi Mammia during the day now. They are unreal! I could probably get away with them at night but creature of habit - huggies at night!

I love Huggies. After 4 kids in them, i have never had any troubles.
Maybe try a bigger size.
I hate Aldi nappies, they don't hold the wet in, so even if the nappy isn't that full, you can feel the wetness if you touch it...:barf:
Oh and do make sure that his penis is downwards......

Thanks for the suggestions everyone - I might try out some Aldi nappies and also need to readjust "him" so he is in the right place right before bed!!

My kids both pee ALOT! The only thing that works for me, is I wake up about 1am'ish, and sneak in and change both of their nappies while they are sleeping. Takes 2 minutes - not much more time than going to the toilet....
I find this better than waiting until they have pee'd through and wake up at 4-5am.
I think it depends on the kid as well.
Huggies are no good for us, they leak.
We use Aldi toddler, in the red packet. DS is somewhere around 12 kilos.
Give them a go, nothing to lose I guess!

i had trouble with the huggies too. Used them till DD was 2wks old and had a lot of leaks. Now using dri bots from target. Not only are they fairly cheap we have had 2 leaks due to long naps (5hrs). Aldi sounds good too but we dont have aldi here in little old tassie

We went through all of that with DS1 and at about 7 months with DS2
With DS2 I started using MC and now use huggies again as he doesn't seem to be too wet.
With DS2, I bought the cheapest super pads (plain wrap brand) and added one of these to his nappies as an extra booster. I also started buying the cheaper brands of nappies because they were better than Huggies as we didn't get any more leaks, so why pay more for something that didn't do the job?!!!!
I have the same problem. We dont have Aldi here so cant try theirs. I have tried every brand so far and Huggies lasts the longest but still leaks. It's driving me nuts plus the poor boy gets cold.

oh now that's a good idea
I've had this same problem with DD and huggies nappies at night the last few night too, she has been waking up soaked through. I called huggies this morning to complain....i never complain but this really annoyed me cause i hate having to change her and the cot in the middle of the night. the huggies rep suggested that i go up a size for night-time only regardless of the weight range a bigger size will cover more and absorb more pee.
They are sending me out a complimentry box of the next size up too. I think you should call them too!
My only other idea was to use some kind of padded liner to soak up a bit more but not sure how to do that or if it would work. I already tried using a nappy cover over the top and that didn't work.
If you find a good solution let me know!
