Anyone experienced vomiting and bad headaches from the medication?

Hi All

I am currently going through my second IVF cycle and started my injections on Sunday 30th of March. Since Tuesday I have been getting really bad headaches and have been nauseas and vomiting.

I didn't have any of these symptoms during my first cylce, I have however increased my injections from 300 to 450 each dose so not sure if this might be the cause.

Has anyone else experienced these side effects?

I have been on 450 dose also for my last couple of IVF cycles...I always get bad headaches....make sure you are drinking lots and lots of water...not sure what to do about the nausea ...I would ring you FS...remember that is a lot of hormones going into your body...

My last cycle I felt awful - didn't vomit - just felt FOUL !! :rain:I always get a headache from the synarel....I find drinking heaps of water after it helps a little bit.

I would ring FS anyway. It sounds like you are sicker than you would expect.

:iagree: syneral gave me awful headaches too and so did Gonal F. That is why I have opted for an Antagonist cycle with Puregon for my next cycle. Starting in about a 1weeks time:). I don't know if you are taking Elevit but when I was taking this in the morning it made me nauseas. FC advised me to change to taking it in the evenings after a meal as I think it is the iron in Elevit which can make you feel sick. I can't remember for sure what it was but there is something in the Elevit which can make you feel sick.. Hope this helps :)

Helenwantsabub, Desper8forbub & nevergivenup- Thanks all for your responses I called the nurse and got a blood test done. I just got the results back and it's not hyper stimulation so it's just how my body is reacting to the medication.

I suppose all the stress at work isn't helping I need to learn to relax more.

Oh well another week of this and then hopefully epu on April 10th. Keeping my fingers crossed for a positive result this time.

nevergivenup - Thanks I will try taking my Elevit in the morning and see how I go.

I have had numerous cycles of different combinations and every time I feel different. I'm on syneral and puregon at the moment and have been waking every morning with horrid headaches and my mood swings have been awful (just ask my DH).

I'd ask though about the vomiting - that doesn't sound good.
