Iam asking because when I got Julius's toys my mum kept saying it was a waste of money since they dont play with them anyway when they are little.

Anyhow, Julius has...Alot.of toys...Waaay to many iam told, a few people might have a fit if they saw them. But he is a very on the move baby who needs alot of stimulation & a lot of variety is good, I also rotate his toys.

I find Julius will play for hours a day with his toys, he pick's them out of the toy box & really focuses on them & figures out how to make the music play/how they work ect.He never looses interest in them, every morning he plays with his toys for about an hour.Iam really pleased that he does this. When I sit down and talk to him he normally doesnt even glance at me because he is 'to busy' lol

Now to the question, does your baby under one, like to play with their toys?
If not what to they like to do?

My 9 month old DD plays with her toys all day every day, and has since she was about 5 months old. ;)

Ali is the same, he LOVES to play with his toys.

It's so cute, he has one of those boxes to stick the different shapes in the top, and when I drop one in for him he tips it upside down to see it come out the bottom, which it won't lol but it's just such a clever thing to do! :yelclap:

Toys are great stimulation, especially for our babies who only children, I worry that Ali will get bored with just me and his toys, but he hasn't yet. :D And we don't go out that much either.

He also loves going out into the garden and looking at the flowers, sometimes we'll find a bumblebee or a cricket to watch for a while. He loves cardboard boxes too, and I had the roll from a tube of wrapping paper that I gave him to play with and it was love at first sight.

He also loves the toilet, but lets not get started on that.:p

DS never really did...just the ones that interest him at the time then about 15 minutes later he gets bored..he is a very curious baby who wants to know everything that is going on around him...

Oh yes heaps and heaps. Even as a newborn he played heaps with his little baby gym-o thing- I had to go out and buy toys for a newborn because I believed everyone when they said newborns dont play

Yep, Mischa does. She loves her little Fisherprice talking phone, the toys on her jumperoo, and any little rattly things that she can hold and chew.

My DD does. A bit too.
DS didnt very much, he wasnt too interested and would prefer to be just playing with Mum instead.

Whereas DD (who turns 1 next month) plays with them tons.
Her favourite is a dog shaped xylophone.
She tap-tap-taps away on the little keys.
LOVES it.

Julius has that one and loves it to!!

I think Julius's fav is an old piano toy...He also has a mini basket ball hoop by fisher price and he likes to spin the top of it.

DD loves her toys. She loves anything that moves, plays music, can be chewed etc. where would I be without the toys?

Hi:)

I found at that age my son would play with his toys as much as he could.

Now at 19 months he seems to have lost interest he would rather colour in or be outside. I love him being outside it saves my housework a bit but sometimes you have to stay indoors, I'm thinking I need to upgrade his toys, he seems a bit bored with what he has. In saying that if I take him to a friends house and they have the exact same toy as him he will play with the whole time.

Yep, my dd loves her toys

I have one particular toy that is her 'cranky' toy, its a baby einstein toy with lots of flashing lights and colours lol, I only give it to her when she is having a hissy fit and nothing else will stop her. INSTANT quiet! LOL

Nope, DD get's bored of her toys very quickly! She'd much prefer to pull power cords out of the wall, or try to pull the DVD player out, climb into cupboards, or play chasing around the house.

She has a whole playroom, full of toys. She'll last 5 mintues in there, before wanting to get out!

No, not really.

She spent most of the time, sleeping, eating or crawling/walking.

She did enjoy an activity table though... but most other things just kinda got chewed on or chucked around.

Atm DS enjoys more to crawl up to the cat and peoples legs. He does play with his jigsaw mat and teether occasionally but isn't too fussed.

My 1st DS had no interests in toys til well over 12 months. My second has had an interest from early on. He plays with his toys daily.
