I will be having a tummy tuck after our family is finished - only problem is we are still deciding when that will be or if it already is!! I have tried to shift my saggy baby belly but alas I think I am stuck with it forever unless I get it 'fixed'.
I wouldn't mind getting my butt lipo'd and probably my upper thighs too. More for shape than size.

Yeah, tummy tuck after the family is done would be nice!!! Nicer if someone else pays for it too!!! LOL!!!!
well the costs arent as expensive as i thought.. maybe coz its more popular now??
plus ive seen them do the lipo  boy, are they rough!
scary thought... but on the tv shows where they have the extreme make overs they always say the pain and money was worth it.
i cant wait to see what my sister has to say!
AS much as I want to get a tummy tuck (thanks to having twins!!) and a boob job (smaller and to perk up again LOL) I think I am too chicken (and poor!)
yeah im too chicken as well.
maybe one day i will....

well im pg and overweight, but just wouldnt do it, i dont look like i did when i was 18, but i like myself more now than i ever have:D :D
Well I have had botox, I don't know if that counts.
I have also had the ruby laser to get rid of my freckles. I don't know if that counts either because nothing was cut!
You can't get botox when you're pregnant though so at the moment I am wrinkly.

wow, i have never heard of that! did it work???
Yeah, it worked big time. I had all these ugly blotchy freckles which I hated and 200 bucks and half an hour later I had all these BLACK swollen marks all over me, but four days after that, no more freckles and it blasts the melanin away so THEY NEVER COME BACK.
I am a big fan of it.
I had a nose job when I was 20.
Was the best thing I ever did. For me, it really boosted my confidence because it was something I was ALWAYS aware of before and if I could stand in a corner so I wasn't noticed, I would.
Best $5000 I ever spent.
Not to say it would work that way for everyone though........it's a very personal choice and the decision should only be made by you.

I would LOVE to get a tummy tuck after we are finished our family.... but we are still deciding if we should try one last time for a girl. I am just afraid of the pain and the recovery time plus the cost is something that would be a major factor in my desicion.,
Having said that while i would really like to get it done.... i doubt i ever will
justcooked: what was it like after you had it done? was there much pain involved.?
they have told my sister she should feel perfectly ok afterwards, as she had a gala event to go to the next day that she assumed she would have to miss, but they told her she should be fine to go

I had always said no way I would never do that!
BUT since DS and DD (on way) I will be saying bring it on........ Maybe a boob job to make them a bit bigger, when I stopped bf the first time they nearly disappeared:crying: and I will be doing it all over again soon. Also lipo on my thighs and butt........that would do for starters I think
I probably never will but wouldn't it be nice.................

Do you min me asking where you got this done? I'm in Sydney too and would love to have a few freckles zapped.

I only just caught this question, sorry Danni!
I had a plaster on for a week and there was swelling and some slight bruising. I had two procedures done. I had the bump shaved and the tip given a little lift.
I wouldn't think she would be looking perfect by the next day, but she shold be feeling alright.
Remember that it is still surgery and done under a general anistaetic so she may be affected by that too!
Good luck to her :D
Charlies Mum, it was at Heber Davis in Broadway.
To quote a kids song "No way, never ever, uh uh uh uh (shaking head)"!
I'm proud of my feral bits. They are what makes me different to every other person on the planet. Personally, I also think I'd worry if my teenage daughter ever asked me if she could hvave anything done and I said no, only to get the reply "well YOU did it mum"!
Why do we tell kids on one hand that they should value all people for who they are and value different looks etc, then on the other hand want to change ourselves. Double standards IMHO.
I'll get off my soap box now. Sorry.
Love,
Nan. xx

i would have abreast reduction - but only if after i lose some weight i am still having back and shoulder problems.
i do know some ladies who had breast implants/lifts, and it changed their lives dramatically. i dont know about cost or pain, but i do know that they are much happier with themselves now.

I would seriously consider having a tummy tuck after our family is complete. Although my grandma had a tummy tuck and said it's the worst thing she ever did. I guess though it was almost 20 years ago now so i would think things have changes somewhat?? Maybe throw in a breast lift for me too ;)
I have told my husband from day one that there will be a tummy tuck when the family is finished. After our third baby I thought we were done so I fronted up for my consultation. I discovered that it is all not as good as I thought.
I had a ceasarean with my first child so I presumed that they would just use that scar. I discovered that the new incision would be huge in comparison, it would gofrom one side all the way around to the other. Basically half way around my body. I was really discouraged because I always thought it would "fix" the unsightly look of my stomach but according to the surgeon it fixes was your stomach looks like "in clothes".
I am only small about 46kgs so I don't have excess weight, just excess skin. So I already look ok in clothes, it is out of clothes that I look like the saggy baggy elephant.
I decided I would think a little while longer, we have since had another baby:smiliedance: so I guess I wasn't really even done with having babies yet anyway.
After this bub I looked at the surgery again and found that there is a mini tuck which has a much smaller scar but it does a lot less "fixing" of stomach muscels etc, and I really don't know if it would be worthwhile when you compare results.
I would love a surgical solution but at them oment I am not conviced I will look better.

yeah i understand what u mean about the scars it leaves!
i have terrible terrible stretch marks, so i am really just after the "in clothes" fix!!
i just dont know if i ever have the guts to do it.
My sisters surgery that i was talking about was a big success!! :smiliedance:
It was really very quick and simple.
she was out in a couple of hours and had no pain and no problems . she said it was so easy! i was surprised at just how normal they looked straight after the surgery and no real swelling and bruising.
So since seeing hers i wouldnt mind getting something done now!!

I would like to have a breast reduction but after seeing myself in a corset for the first time on the weekend I might change my mind! I managed to squeeze down to a 23 inch waist comfortably. Now team that with my 40 inch bust and my 42 inch hips and you get the picture!
