a question about CM...

hi there everyone,

just a quick question,, if you normally get obvious EWCM for few days around o, if you catch the egg does the mucus disapear?

I normally have it for a few days, but this month it showed up, we BD that night, and then it was totally gone..

Does anyone who has ended up with a BFP know?

Cm has nothing to do with fertilisation of the egg...the cm has no way of knowing whether you caught the egg or not. It is solely based on the hormone changes leading up to and after ovulation. So, you get your ewcm leading up to ovulation, but as soon as the egg is released, progesterone spikes and the cm dries up because of that. If you had one day of cm, it is hard to know whether it was related to ovulation or not. It could have been your hormones gearing up to get ready for ovulation...without temping or charting or using opks, its kind of hard to know what it was. Personally, I can get a day here or there of ewcm even when Im not getting ready to O. I dont think that helps you at all, haha...all you can do is wait. Sorry babe, but good luck! :)
