When I wake in the morning I feel my tummy, i used to be able to feel a hard lump, now all i feel is my flab:(. Im worried my tummy is getting smaller. Maybe the bub has just moved more the my back. 'Has anyone else had this happen? I have made a Drs appt this afternoon to get her to check and maybe i will be able to hear bub on the Doppler to put my mind at ease.
Im almost 15 weeks

Actually last week I had a similar thing - I really struggled to find the 'hard' bump I had previously had but it is back this week so I assume it was either more towards my back or was just changing shape a little.

I read somewhere that around this time it becomes more cone-shaped than round so it might be that the hard bit recedes a little back into the pelvis and the cone-shaped top is more difficult to feel initially?

I'm not sure but thought I would reassure you that mine disappeared last week too and is now back (and bigger!)

Thank you Lucy!

Im just worried as this is my 4th pregnancy I thought I sorta have things all sussed out with what is going to happen. I cant remember anything like this happening with my last ones. Hopefully your right! I do feel a bit better now thankyou!:hugs: I will still go to the Drs to double check though

It could just be that your bladder isnt as full. When you have a really full bladder it makes the bump feel larger as it is pushed up.
Maybe thats it???

I am 16 weeks today :smiliedance: and to tell you the truth I havent felt a ball type thing that everyone mentions at all or I just dont know what to feel for but could your placenta also be covering bub a bit more now hence the mushy feeling

Hayleysmummy I am the same... everyone talks about the ball or the orange poking above your pubic bone but I honestly don't know what I am feeling... im just fatter in that area! I tried to feel last night then thought I might have been squashing the baby....so i stopped :dizzy:

Sometimes it feels harder than normal and sometimes it looks smaller.... :hair:

with DS i could feel that hard orange thingy above my pelvis at 12 weeks, so i thought i knew what to feel for, but this time is is mostly all squeshy.

I get bigger and smaller all the time, i have days where i look like maybe my period is due, it stays like that for a few days, then i start being asked by ppl how far along i am.

I get braxton hicks already (got them early with the others to, and i find that is the only time it feels 'hard' other wise it is just squishy.

I have rambled abit here, but i hope i have made sence

A few weeks back I hard a hard little tummy, then the next week it just all went flabby, now it's getting harder again. So no, I don't think it's unusual. Let us know when you get the all clear though.

Well, the same here no ball to be found just a soft tummy, but I do have more shape in front over the past week or so.

Since u have had no cramping or bleeding, your baby is just being naughty and playing hide and seek .

Speak to u this arvo, what time u off to the doctors?

Mumof4monsters: It was this morning when my bladder was full that made me worry as it felt flat, just felt like a full bladder

Pinkangel & Hayleysmum: Im just worried cause I did feel that hard orange ball and now i dont. With my other kids, once it was there it stayed there!

Loz: Im hoping bub is just playing hide and seek, my appt is at 4.10. i will let u know how i go

Its so hard at this stage, cause I cant feel any movement yet its hard to tell if bubs is ok in there! I wish I had xray eyes like what was said in another post!

Good luck this afternoon!

It is an annoying stage (i know i know we should make the most of it!) where bump is so tiny, movement is fleeting at best and there are so many times when you really don't feel pregnant at all. So hard to reassure yourself that is all fine!

Any word yet? How did you go?

Yep i use to get that until about 20 weeks, its usually cause you have an empty bladder or stomach first thing in the morning. And you may have had fluid retention before which may have settled.
If unsure check with your dr. for reassurance

Sorry taken so long to get back to u guys
Went to the Drs and everything is fine! :smiliedance: She just thinks that the baby has moved or I am starting to put on a bit more weight now that my MS is gone so it will be harder to feel.
But I felt my tummy this morning and the lump is back! She heard the heartbeat so baby is fine!
Thanks for all your concerns guys, its great to know that I have people on here that are concerned for me :hugs:
